After the WiiU sort of caused a shudder at the foundations, Nintendo managed to weather through and launch the Switch into a much better market environment IMO. We are now past the point where a lack of significant big-budget third party support results in a console with an anemic library; smaller indie titles feel

my 2 cents.. they are the most reasonable priced gamnes on the eshop.. as someone who is skeptical on buying digital, i will always get big nintendo title in physical form so i can transfer /sell, change account name, and still have the game.. if i were to buy a digital game, it would be the last choice, and for most

Nintendo has become a viable platform for 3rd parties.

5 points to gryffindoor for the used of Sanka.

Honestly it doesn’t ease you in at all, it kind of dumps you in the game and lets you learn at your own pace.

I do the same sometimes. I barely played Pikmin because I was paralyzed into inaction.

You can’t miss anything that matters in this game due to time. In Harvest Moon if you took too long, every potential love-interest would get hitched, and if you didn’t befriend Cliff before the end of the first year he would leave forever etc. etc. but none of that is true of Stardew Valley.

I mean yeah if you don’t

I really appreciate this view of the game. I started playing it for the first time when it came to Switch and knew nothing when I started, but since I’ve never played a game like this I skimmed over the tips article just to make sure I wasn’t doing anything really stupid. But otherwise I’ve been going through with

One of the greatest songs of all time. That whole 1984 album is just amazing.

blindfolded, with the guitar hero controller, on b&w CRT tv, without turning on the game even once.

No just a urethra. However I want to avoid piss spots in my underwear and TP will always leech out that extra drop of piss waiting to get in you draws.

Wow! This is definitely the best lineup I’ve ever seen. I just put off buying both of these recently and am finally feeling the opposite of buyer’s remorse for once.

If true, this would be the most Nintendo thing Nintendo has done in about 15 years.

I never saw a single one and I bought the game day one. I was actively looking for them to say fuck it and trade it in and never got a reason. Do the eyes suck ass? Yes. Are they much better now post patch. Absolutely.

I’m really happy for its success. It’s kind of a resounding denial of the idea that dedicated gaming portables don’t have a place in a smartphone world. Maybe you need a clever idea like the Switch but the fact remains that it’s selling.

It’s a curious thing isn’t it? Marketing and a couple huge games probably help. I imagine some of it is down to Nintendo’s history with handhelds. Lack of games that have a broader appeal like Zelda is probably a factor too. The expensive and proprietary storage medium doesn’t help Sony but I’ve always kind of felt

I think Sony’s problem was trying to make “console gaming on the go”. Because of that, they launched back-to-back incredibly expensive pieces of hardware, and when your competition (The DS and 3DS respectively) is selling for tremendously cheaper and simply offering a “fun mobile experience”, it’s easy to see that

Needing to join a clan is what has me worried. I will be on PC and my experience with clans in other games is toxic. I’m also dreading when people start looking for more for raids that it will quickly become spam for 100 power level above the minimum needed.

Counterpoint to your counterpoint. There are only 3 things that require a team in Destiny (1&2). The raid absolutely requires 6 people. The Nightfall requires 3 people (I used to regularly solo the nightfall in Destiny 1, the time limit makes it tougher for Destiny 2). Trials of the Nine will likely require 3 or 4

At least it’s better than Destiny 1, which had strikes as part of the story, so you couldn’t complete the campaign without playing with other people whether you wanted to or not. (Though I find doing strikes and crucible with randoms is pretty OK. It’s rare to run into someone who just screws around and I’ve never
