*sloop, not swoop
*sloop, not swoop
Agreed. I should clarify also from my previous post that I’d love to see an actual one-person ship that’s specifically designed to be crewed by one person, as opposed to fumbling with the swoop. I know it’s contrary to the original design of the game, but I can’t help but think it would be a welcome change.
No, I’m aware of the swoop but that’s not actually what I mean. I still feel like Benny Hill on fast-frame even when trying to use the swoop, and it’s just not enjoyable for me.
I do wish that at this point they would officially add a solo-able boat with compensating stats, like faster/stealthier at expense of health/firepower or something. I know that some folks have found ways to solo currently—and kudos to them—but the circus-contortions required to pull that off just make it too un-fun…
Oh man that’s a drag. I played the GOTY edition on 360, seemed pretty decent. Maybe by that point they had ironed out performance (I didn’t play it until later in the cycle).
I’m starting to feel like I’m willing to make a preemptive decision to skip Starfield(?) entirely and just replay the Mass Effect series, even Andromeda (which was a fun space-action game, just not a great series installment).
Sounds good! Basically, in the end game I want to take my time doing all the stuff out in the world that I brushed past with Arthur, when I was more focused on the story missions.
That’s good. Come to think of it, I think did see a couple of side quest icons on the map that I hadn’t done yet. Like the mayor for example.
Good point! I hadn’t done that yet either. I focused a lot on the story with Arthur. I’m looking forward to slowing down now and exploring the world more leisurely with John in between playing other games (I’m assuming the game will let me do this—I’m still in the first epilogue).
Ok, that makes sense. I’ll check John’s stuff next time I boot it up. Thanks again!
I bought the game digitally later in the launch weekend but it seemed to come with the preorder bonuses (maybe). There was a warhorse in the stable at Valentine for $0, so I took her, named her Chalupa, and only used her for the rest of the game. Yeah, that was a real gut-punch :(
Ah ok thanks. Is there any fanfare or does everything just suddenly appear? John met with Mr Geddes and then we rode out to reunite with Sadie (haven’t been to Blackwater to see about the loan yet).
That’s all very helpful thanks! I hadn’t been to the fence in a while with Arthur so I’ll probably have a decent stock of valuables to sell.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER follows:
That’s a very good point, and one which I hadn’t even considered.

I played a lot of the Switch digital version and I got the deluxe. More fun than I expected it would be. The characters and story are Saturday Morning Cartoon-friendly, but the flying and shooting are solid.

I’ve been waffling a bit on this game, and your comment of essentially wasting your beta on cleaning out your attic—so to speak—is giving me pause. I’m already working on one chore simulator (RDR2), and I’m not too keen on adding another. That being said, I’m interested enough to keep an eye on what Bethesda chooses…
I already answered your first question. Everything in your post that follows is your continued attempt to legitimize property theft. There’s no article in the relevant law that says “...however, if you reeaaaaaally feel you should have it....”
Nice moving the goal posts. I saw your other post. Instead of advocating theft of intellectual property and fabricating reasons to legitimize your choice, you could instead just go without.
