Completely missing the point. These minis are collectibles first, console “solutions” second. I love the SNES Classic even in its unhacked form because it “feels” Nintendo. I’m not interested in your little h4ck3rz box loaded up with stolen content.
I don’t quite get the “but the fans bought tickets” counter-argument. I don’t really follow Blizzard, so my question is: did Blizzard actually promise a deliverable they didn’t make good on, or is this a case of fan expectations failing to materialize?
It’s all relative though, isn’t it? A big part of my eventual distaste for Overwatch came from what I saw as the community’s insistence that I accept shipping as part of the experience, and shipping is where I draw the line (irritates the hell out of me). But I do recognize that my problem with it comes from my…
Exactly right.
Agreed. And seeing as how some women can’t seem to go to the bathroom without first forming a raiding party, I—as a guy in his 40s—really don’t want to be in there dealing with some bad Chipotle when a group of 6 middle-school girls comes in. Standing at a urinal in that situation sounds even worse, actually.
That is helpful. This point has been a bit iffy. Did you at any point feel that you couldn’t move forward without making a digital purchase? It seems they sent you some additional ships to try out, but were you able to get any kind of feel for a potential roadblock?
Not even the power of JC’s sculpted abs could compel her, huh?
How distant are the days of Mortal Kombat’s green blood. How innocent we all once were.
Play Ac4: Black Flag and call it a day. That game is awesome, and still holds up. The GOTY-whatever edition always seems to be on sale somewhere; I just played it for the first time somewhat recently and I got the everything-edition for like $12.00 digitally.
One of the things I love about Nintendo is that, for better or worse, they insist on doing their own thing. I’m actually excited at the prospect of MS doing the same (if that’s what’s happening here) as opposed to continuing to fight with Sony for “favorite-twin” status. I’m already in love with Game Pass, and I could…
I’m holding out for XBox One Remix DX: Burst

“Scifi Darkest Dungeon”—that bears looking into!
I just restarted playing Destiny 2 from ground zero (Forsaken legendary edition). I put in hundreds and hundreds of hours between D1 and D2 vanilla, and then I stopped around October 2017 altogether. I no longer have my PS4, so I started over on my XB1. I’m behind EVERYONE, but I no longer have that almost…
I’ll need to get back to most of this later, but for now I’ll note that the phrase “back to a Taken King-like state” may have sold it for me.
I agree. When I was hooked on D1 it was the only game I wanted to play for quite a while. Thinking about going back to that now almost makes me feel...I don’t know, anxious?
It’s hard...I’m really encouraged by all the positive feedback I’ve been seeing, but I’m playing so many other games right now...do you still feel the “it’s Tuesday so I’ve GOT to do this now” compulsion, or are you enjoying it at a more relaxed pace?
Stephen, I started the same as you. I jumped in about a month or two before Taken King, and I was hooked. I was definitely well on my way to fizzling out when the following year’s Rise of Iron came out, and I lasted about 4-5 weeks on Destiny 2 before I just couldn’t do it anymore.
Playing solo is actually my preference as well. I’m cool with shared instances w/public events, system matchmaking for strikes, etc. I just don’t bother with the activities that require me to actively party up unless it’s something I REALLY want to do.
