Well, if they need help getting to 38, they should call me. I redefine the phrase “I’m garbage at this game”.

Yes, the issue is very multi-polar and very complicated, like a geopolitical Jenga tower. At this point, I’m kind of thinking the only real solution is going to come in the form of a “The Day The Earth Stood Still”-type intervention (the original, of course).
Good to know, thanks. Seems like waiting it out is the sensible thing. I’m glad I did that with BotW, it was nice getting access to all that expansion stuff at once.
Appreciated, thanks! Looks like I’m going Yharnam-diving this weekend!
Will do!
I’m STILL stuck in that section where when you’re exposed, that light comes out and starts spiking your frenzy. My own frustration gets the better part of me and I always die of a stupid rushed mistake. Nightmare of Mensis?
General question for anybody who’s played Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Lately I’ve been feeling the urge to start my New Game+. I haven’t bought the expansion pass yet, and kind of wanted to wait until the new story drops in October, but I also don’t want to wait that long to play again.
Last year, the announcement of Metroid: Samus Returns while I was still reeling from finally being told that Metroid Prime 4 is actually going to be a thing...that was a hell of a 1-2 punch. Whoever took over for Nintendo’s messaging in the last couple of years deserves nonstop raises and promotions for the…
D00d, you really going to unload a Super on me this early in the match? That took like 80% off my health-bar
I haven’t been able to watch nearly as much of the playoffs/finals as I’d like, but I saw enough to say this: Durant is RIDICULOUS.
Really scary, how quickly the frenzied mob mentality can take over. Even though hardly anyone from that particular era is alive anymore, the wounds are still open. But sometimes I think it benefits the people in power to steer away from a real reconciliation. Hard stuff, and sad, when you think of how it affects…
I just started getting into this on PS4. I’ll be all over this on Switch, like...something that spends an unhealthy amount of time on another thing.
Agreed. To further complicate things, the Chinese government will use anti-Japanese sentiment to ignite nationalism among the people whenever they feel the public’s support of the Party needs a boost. I was living in Beijing during the height of the Senkaku Islands (Diaoyu dao in Chinese) drama. Local authorities were…
The angry sentiments between Korea, China, and Japan that persist today mainly come from this period of WWII. The Rape of Nanjing was particularly horrific, up to 300,000 non-combatant Chinese reported killed, depending on the source (a word of warning if you decided to look up images—it’s not for the faint of heart).…
If you want the expansion, by all means please get it, and I sincerely hope you’ll enjoy it. But the $1/hr rational for video games has been argued before and it just doesn’t really work, especially when compared to something like coffee which is closer to a commodity than a leisure activity. You at least gotta keep…
That all sounds...terrible. You can keep it. I’d rather not play games at all than have a plastic box function as a social surrogate.
Good points. After my initial indignation over Rise of the Tomb Raider’s delay to PS4, I kinda forgot about it for a while (in reality there’s always too much other stuff to play at the time anyways), and then when it did come out with all content intact, I was like, “Oh yeah, I wanted to play this!” And I played it,…
Very true. I used to have this weird mindset about new games, like if I didn’t play it as soon as possible I was somehow losing out on something (which is sort of maybe kind of true in a game like Battlefield, where everyone will be light-years beyond you if you start late, but even then it doesn’t make the game…
I think exclusivity really works when it’s Nintendo (if you want to play Nintendo, you have to buy Nintendo, and that’s it), but I don’t really like the timed-exclusivity on titles shared between the twins. You know you’ll get the game eventually anyways, and the only real reason you can’t just play it now (assuming…
I’ve decided to impose a timed-exclusivity rule on myself: no new games until they’ve been out for approximately 6 months. I can no longer justify paying Day One prices for games that probably should have been left in the oven for a while longer (Nintendo is for the most part an exception to this rule). I do on…
