This.  Not dying from it, doesn’t make it “mild”.

Posts photos of her kids with guns. Not many of them with books I would bet.

It makes me laugh that the very same people who think that socialism is from the devil and the government should never interfere with the free market are the first ones to say “the government needs to do something about gas prices!” whenever they can’t afford to fill their gas-guzzling SUVs.

The type 2 picture here is an AC charger.

The general public believes the average company makes a 36% profit margin, when the actual average is about 8%. Yes, there are huge salary gaps that sensationalize the issue, and yes, executives are also incentivized to maximize profit. But most CEOs aren’t Martin Shkreli, thankfully. The truth is generally somewhere

There’s more to it than just this, but what you’ve said is also true. And of course there is some greed as other posters have already pointed out.

As the author says, yes oil companies are greedy, but it’s not like they only got greedy in the last year. They want to make a profit, but supply and demand limits how badly they can gouge us.

In Los Angeles, there’s a cemetery (Hollywood Forever) that does outdoor movie screenings. You’re not sitting ON the graves, but its definitely less precious. Also a ton of stuff is filmed there.

The vaccines were never designed to keep you from getting the illness. The strong protection against infection was just a delightful side effect. The vaccines are meant to keep you alive and out of the hospital.

The marathon runners and peak fitness people who caught COVID and died would beg to differ that being less

My mother in law going through chemo who got covid and survived- most likely because of being vaccinated- would disagree with you.

So she won a million internet lefty cool points, and Hawley gets to go back to Missouri and stump/campaign/raise money on how well he triggers libs, how batshit “these/those people” are, and the fact that he ‘can’t even ask questions’ (questions his constituents probably find reasonable,) without being accused of

The Japanese are falling so far behind. Their culture of focusing on reliability above all else has made them completely stagnant. When you have to ask GM to make your future cars for you, you know you done F’d up.

The people who aren’t vaxxed and don’t mask probably are also less likely to be testing themselves each and every time they get a sore throat or the sniffles.

In my experience GM has a pretty good history supporting their vehicles whether they were “100% in-house” or not.

But at that price, you can run it for 5 years with close to no anticipated maintenance (maybe brake pads) and get full value out of it before you have to worry about repairs.

In 2020, my Wife and I installed mini-splits throughout our home.  On hot days, you could feel the walls were hot and all the mini-splits were running AC on high and still not really get us cool.  In 2021, we went through a bit of a renovation and we decided to insulate.  Now we almost never even run the AC.  Its

Yeah I never understood that, when in high school football, I could breath easier and recover faster leaning over, but the coaches said I was wrong. Like bish I’m telling you how I feel and that this is working better for me. They’d literally punish you if you didn’t recover the way they told you to.

Keeping all windows closed so the hot air doesn’t creep in, and keep the shades or blinds down”

EVs are starting to dip down into Honda Civic territory, with the Bolt/EUV now starting around $26k and the Nissan Leaf starting around $29k. It is a bit of a jump from there to about $35k for the next tier of 200+ range EVs, but the days of “Tesla Model S or nothing” are behind us.
