So, they pick up on whaling in a game set during the era of whaling, yet seem to have missed Dishonoured completely. Not surprising though.

Can I just say that in the UK we're not immune from the ghastly disappointment of a solid fondant centre. Many a time my enjoyment of one of these will be ruined by a practically solid, almost flaky filling that somehow doesn't even have the same flavour as when it's nice and gooey. Weirdest thing is that a pack of…
That's exactly how I described the game to my family: ''Hey, Sony have announced the PS4, and Ubisoft showed a game, can't remember what it's called. basically a game version of Person of Interest. Oh yeah, Watch Dogs.'' (almost total recall for conversations is not always as fun as it sounds).
I don't think it's just within the fields that have been mentioned that the disparity exists. Right now, I'm struggling to think of a proportionate number of female hosts (hostesses sounds odd) for almost any televised awards ceremony/announcement. One would think that such events as the BAFTAs, Golden Globes, Oscars,…
I loved that game except for the Test Your Strength ''puzzle'' that just sucked a ton (also the Simon Says one, simply because it's Simon Says, which I find boring after all these years).
Anyone think they maybe could have used Black Adam instead of Shazam, if only because he's Black Adam?
Hmm, sounds interesting ^^
Hehe! Indeed. I think we're on the same page there :)
My thought was more that the game seemed to focus on you playing a single Space Marine, rather than say, a squad of five or so. In doing so, all PvP would be rather small skirmishes (I can't imagine any MMO trying to show more than 40v40). The issue with that is how do you encourage people to move in formation?
Anyone else think that if an animal is blind, that to keep itself safe (and to avoid the possibility of tripping, thus exploding prematurely) it'd make more sense to walk on all fours, as Aliens are known to do? It'd certainly have avoided that strange walk, and I think there'd be something creepier about essentially…
The real prop on the other hand? ED still makes me grin at how incredible it looks. I don't care if it wouldn't work in the real world, I just love the aesthetics.
It might sound weird, but I actually started to worry about this game when the Pre-order came with the Pointy STICK, which seemed a stupid thing to do, given that in the film, when Hudson says it, he is referring to literal pointy sticks (''sharp knives, pointy sticks...'').
Taris in KoToR springs to mind, as well as when we visit Telos in KoToR II. Not just the first place you visit, but also an entire planet practically destroyed, just because you were there (in the case of the former).
I can take Superman in stories when he's not the focus, but some of the DC comics I've read, he's basically been a deus ex machina. Sometimes he's well-written and has depth that makes me almost interested, but most often he's just this guy in an outfit that never seems to stay fairly powerful. What I mean by that is…
One day we'll find out that, traumatised as a child, Bruce Wayne created a childhood friend that protected him from the madness of the world by making it a joke, but through his troubled psyche (and this being a world where magic exists), the figment became a material entity.
Actually, if DC did that, I think they'd have a winner. Not only because it'd lead to a much darker world, but also because they could explore the impact years of handing out justice would have on their heroes. I think it'd also be interesting if they used the fact that some heroes are more/less inclined to kill than…
I never really saw the Empire as being all that great, but rather an attempt to show them more balanced than the usual extremist personality we're often shown; there are after all a lot of people in the empire just through circumstance, as is true of the Republic - people who would prefer perhaps to see the opposition…
That's really interesting - most notably the idea that it can absorb their intelligence, but it does again point up one bizarre issue: How can it keep its victims alive for so long when it is dissolving them without a paralytic? Not to mention the lack of clean air in its stomach, or the lack of food leading to very…
It's not technically impossible, no, just immersion-breaking for anyone who wanted to RP - the issues with the Chapters I see is that you'd have to have had numerous different one combine into an overall larger one to compete fairly, and in do doing would be difficult to work out who's on what side.
My parents bought ours from Toys 'R' Us. The very first Playstation we brought home didn't have all the ports in the back that the first versions did, but rather the ones that the as-yet unreleased one was going to ship with. Needless to say this was an unusual thing to find. Worse still, it wouldn't accept any…
