Metacritic is overvalued by some and undervalued by the rest. Why can't there be a middle ground whenever this debate is brought up?

Video Games' Blackness Problem

Video games have a blackness problem. This has been a known thing for a while, and we do talk about it from time to

It's a larger problem than just gaming, unfortunately. Society in general seems to be losing its ability to treat people with any sort of courtesy or respect. This is most obvious on the internet, but you see it in real life too (most notably in politics, where some people seem completely unable to merely disagree

I just play games and I am sick of the haters and trolls. The worst is that these trolls genuinely believe they are entitled and justified in their behavior. They think they get to sling mud if they aren't entertained. Or make personal attacks if they are disappointed. It's like they never learned how to communicate

So, it isn't five old bats?

Dragon Quest VIII

Game Name Wild Arms

Rival Schools 1 and 2. Fun Capcom fighting games with vibrant characters and burning vigor. They could finally add all the stuff they couldn't release here initially because of localization issues at the time for the complete experience as well.

Now playing

Suikoden 1-5
Original System: PS1-PS2

Why it deserves to be on Playstation Now: Because the Suikoden is one of the finest RPG series never fully appreciated. Sure Suiko 1 is on PSN classics, and japan has suiko 2, but the rest of the games have never had digital re-releases and are quite difficult to track down.

As to

Game Name Persona 4 & Dark Cloud 2.

The day we stop making a big deal about transgender people all the time and just add them is the day everything is equal

I agree the Wii U isn't successful (even as a Nintendo Apologist; then again, aren't all fanboys of ALL consoles?) but I think that "disaster" and "failure" is so .. final a term. That is, saying "failure" means the last nail is in the coffin and it's already swept under the rug and the console is just .. DONE. But

How does popping my copy of GTA1 into my PS1 work? It works perfectly. Sometimes I'll even throw in the London 1969 expansion disc. Only if I'm feeling cheeky, though.

when the movie is shown on cable, that line is re-dubbed as 'THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FIND A STRANGER IN THE ALPS' which is almost funnier, i think

There's a book I read in which the author says "describing words are killing words", in that the more you describe something, the more you strip it of it magic and majesty until you're left with a known quantity you don't give a fuck about. More devs should take this closer to heart.

I'll hold off final judgement until I've played the second part, though for now I'm not sure about the decision to engage Infinite so directly. Infinite's ending was a double-edged narrative sword—it cut sharply and with admirable boldness, but it also severed its connection to all that preceded it. With an ending

I'm more numb to pain and others' misery because of this (warning, this is a fairly lengthy read describing my health situation so if you don't want to have feels, you might want to avoid).
