Oh my god, you’re joyless. Maybe it’s from watching too much Italian neorealism. Maybe it’s just who you are and that’s why you were drawn to that dour brand of cinema. Either way, why bother coming here and reading stuff if you already know you’re going to find anything vaguely whimsical annoying and then complain

So.... which part of your desire for a conversation that allows for fallibility made you respond to the article by calling the person who wrote it “ignorant” three times in your first comment?

Yep. If it doesn’t look good on the 90-pound model, it’s not going to look good on me.

It most certainly was NOT edited after your comment, GTFO.

Woah, Pats fan. You really want to start calling Colts names? Really?

They hired some older Jacksonville guy to do a part-time job at the stadium, he’s old-fashioned and maybe a little sexist, his behavior was corrected. As long as he doesn’t do it again, it’s the little things like this that make change happen over the long-term, so we shouldn’t be angry still, right?

When is the last time a women’s sport was covered with the depth and interest that even shitty men’s teams get?

They hired an older gentlman who has outdated views and didn’t pay attention during his training, so made a bad call. The team remedied the situation as soon as they could, and then apologized appropriately and publicly. But social media’s need for constant outrage turned a simple mistake into a shitstorm.

I mean I see your point, but let’s not act like pro athletes are comparable to slaves of the plantation. First of all, they are very well compensated and their participation is entirely voluntary. Second, pro sports live and die on media coverage. If not for the media going after these scoops and quotes, then no one

No person of the opposite gender should be allowed in the locker room.

Look, I know we all want to rush to judgment here but I’m guessing that, very reasonably, the man asked what those women were there for and they told him that they were there to cover a professional football team and he, quite rightfully, had to check if the Jaguars qualified.

I’m a little unhappy I had to go grey for standing up for “whitey.” Not the hill I wanted to die on :)

I’m grey now. I pissed off Clover Hope by saying that her calling Matt Damon “whitey” was “ugly.” And boom, demotion.

He’s really vocal about Black Lives Matter and police brutality as well and often posts about his journey into understanding his own privilege. I think he’s an ideal ally. He never claims to be the best at feminism. He’s still learning, and when people tell him to check his privilege, he does.

....girl I like you so I am not going to get crazy or anything but Matt McGorry is literally the kind of feminist we want all men to be! He is always repping for intersectional feminism he retweets women and poc on the daily

random dude: “ I am a feminist!”

Welcome to Jezebel, where allies are allies until they ally too hard.

To be honest, I appreciate that a straight white male is talking about feminism and gender equality. He is becoming more socially aware and expressing himself. He seems excited and eager to learn. This is a first step for him. He can continue his momentum by amplifying women’s voices: follow, retweet, donate and keep

Seriously. Are we really going to police everyone to make sure they’re a perfect ally? Dude’s excited to share all the new stuff he’s learning.

“And the way he goes about saying it as if if nobody had ever heard before”
