I should preface this post by saying that I am a 73 year old that obviously grew up in a different time. From the time I was twelve on, I was taught and believed that a man’s word was his bond and very few people were willing to tarnish their reputation. Sad to say, it doesn’t exist anymore, if it ever did.

No. It’s not extra stress in your day. It’s proactive activity that gives you exercise which releases positive endorphins. We sit or stand most of our waking lives. People should take every opportunity they can to MOVE. Letting robots do the walking for us is a slippery slope.

It takes nothing to stand to the side if

It’s not a regular beetle, it’s a Tesla Model 4

YES! There was so much going on in this post that I forgot to mention that! What is the problem with these handrails? It’s like the escalator is gaslighting us.

Consider if you just give yourself the extra five minutes a day to not try to rush faster than the other people. Imagine if you give yourself an extra five minutes a day not to speed on the freeway. Imagine how much less energy it would take to go with the stream where you’re going instead of trying to go faster.

Weren’t you just trying to buy a right-hand drive Cressida full of bees?

Dear readers:

Not just wealthy--this is how middle class people can save for retirement, be frugal but smart with spending habits and not have needless debt. I know a lot of people pan Dave Ramsey, but he rails incessantly about buying new. It truly is one of the worst personal finance actions to do.

Now playing

Finally - a post talking about motor vehicles I’m intimately familiar with. The rest of you can move on - this is going to be dull and cumbersome and is aimed mostly at Jason.

Somewhere out there, there’s a guy (probably with one of those ridiculously stanced cars) who is thinking you just suggested a carbon fiber exhaust, and he’s nodding his head and saying “yessss!”

Reminds me of a joke.

Thanks for this, Jason.

P100D Turbo is my preference

Remember how popular “Altezza-style” lights were after the Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS300 blew everybody’s minds with its weird semi-clear taillights? No? Well, kids, that was a cool thing like 20 years ago.

And now for a driving tour of scenic bins.

“They were going to design an actual C pillar, but they went to lunch instead”

Isn’t there a difference between “intermittent” and “single use”?

Torch, I can’t believe you failed to give credit to Lucas for “inventing” intermittent wipers.

The land cruiser is a great suggestion, especially if you add some personal touches to it, even just nice all terrain tires in stock size; it says I drive this old car because it is cool, I like it, and I can, not that I have to.
