He was hit and miss ... But we all knew what we were getting at that point.  His summation of the 2000 election and article on 9/12 was as good as anything he ever wrote.

I’m late to the game here but TBOB is my favorite sports book of all time. It’s really, really good. That probably fits into one of your pros, but it also probably merits a mention of its own.

My Grantland “not for everyone” was Alex Pappademas if only for his I Suck At Football series.

Page 2 was really amazing, it was just that the internet wasn’t what it is now and there was certainly no media shedding light on internet content at that time. Hunter S Thompson, Ralph Wiley, David Halberstram and Bill Simmons. I dare say there is no website NOW that has a writer’s row like that. I loved early Bill

“Finally, to the person who asked why the hotel was being sued? Because that is where the money is”

I’m not black (like Foster), I’m not female (like Ennis). I didn’t say it was solely a women’s issue. The inclusion of the details regarding my size and economic status have to do with me being less likely to be a victim (in many senses of the word). Murder (and other felonies) attorney here. Like anything in law, there are no absolutes. Whether you should demand the truth and the whole truth from your client depends on the case. Of course you want them to be honest when answering your questions, but some questions are simply better left unasked.

Speaking strictly as a guy who does computer security for a living, this is horrible advice. Your phone is much more likely to be physically stolen than to be exploited in this manner.

I’ve been waiting almost 20 fucking years for that last book. Just like Wheel of Time. the author died first

Somewhere (Philly) Tim Marchman is smiling.

Damnit, I was going to make this comment! Figure someone named Loki would swipe it. Curse you Trickster God!

It also explains his fascination with Big Beautiful Walls.

Came here to do this. Glad to see you did it better than I would have done.

I don’t think even Mr. Martin could pen something as insane and brutally cruel as this reality.

Came down here to make this joke; nice. +1

And the happenings of the next four years.
