Soft words for soft people.”

I wouldn’t mind saving $60,000 on a 5 year old Caddy that’s going to run for 250,000+ miles with proper maintenance.

Jeeps used to be made for folks wanting to go off-roading and mudding.  Now, they are for collecting ducks while parked at the mall.

If you are broke, find an older Buick (or another GM vehicle) with the 3.8l V6. Even better if you can get one from an estate sale/auction. When Grandma or Granpa quits driving/kicks the bucket, you want that car.

137. That’s it. 137 horsepower. That’s around 24 lbs per hp. Barely enough to get out of its own way.

So, in 7 years, ICE cars will be as expensive as EVs?

My suggestion is to not disassemble anything until you are ready to work on it. Sometimes life gets in the way and two summers later you are trying to figure how to finish the job, start the job, or just how to put something back together.

I’m ready for an EV, but not a Tesla. I wish the Y had a regular dashboard with some buttons instead of an iPad glued to the dash. There are some things I don’t want to drill down and swipe while driving.

I miss two-tone vehicles, trucks in particular.

I don’t know who is buying all the Tacos. In my area of the Midwest, I see about 3x more Colorado/Canyon twins on the road than Tacos.

Back in high school, my friend tried to teach me stick in his clapped-out Pinto. At one point, I killed it 27 times in a row without going a total of 20 feet. I gave up soon after. A year later, another friend tried to teach me in his ‘83 Mustang GT. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. I only killed it once all night long.

It looks a little too short for my favorite houseplants. I better stick with my Phototron.

What about kitchen appliances that your wife buys or asks for Christmas then never uses? Or never opens? I am currently storing unopened: xl Instapot, Kitchenaid stand mixer, double basket deep fryer, waffle maker, popcorn maker, new drying rack, two mixing bowl sets (black friday years ago “they were a great deal”),

My main priority is to fix a couple safety things on my firechicken and finally sell it. After owning it for 28 years, I just want it gone.

I would gladly trade my Silverado for another mint late ‘90's S-10 extended cab.

Dilly Dilly!!

That’s a lot of firewood!

That is true.... but I would be willing to bet that they are in the extreme minority.  I rarely see non-commercial flatbed trucks.

Am I the only truck owner that give zero fucks about towing capacity? I must be the only one without a boat, rv, bobcat, backhoe, racecar, etc...  In 20 years of owning trucks, I’ve towed something exactly twice (a rental log splitter 1/2 mile each way). Bed capacity is much more important to me.

Deadly sin #8: Don’t go grocery shopping stoned. You will buy nothing but bullshit.
