I guess it would be very closely related to low sex drive, but less of a fixed trait. As in, someone who used to enjoy sex, but can’t get aroused any longer, and is distressed about that.

I recognize that it’s not a perfect metaphor, nor do I have any personal experience with this. But that’s how this condition has been explained to me. I think this is a fair way to explain the tension between wanting something mentally or emotionally, and not being able to engage with it physically.
