well, that sucks. That “ark-park” is some high-octane nonsense.

That article strikes me as a pretty blatant hit-piece, but it makes some valid points.
As appealing as that is, I feel like both of them are currently doing great work in the Senate, and I feel like the VP would be wasted on their abilities. I’d rather the one who doesn’t get the nomination remain in the Senate, and keep doing good work.
I think (hope?) it’s going to come down to Warren and Harris. Warrens got pretty similar policies to Sanders, but she actually has coherent plans for everything. And I think Harris is going to just kill it in the upcoming debates.
ooh... I wasn’t aware of this, thanks for mentioning it :)
yeah, that seemed like one of the worst answers possible. I would have expected the typical “my views have evolved” or some milquetoast “working with the times” or whatever. But “States Rights”? srsly? that was the defense for treating people as property...
This is one of the main reasons I started paying attention to Harris. Nearly a decade ago, I ran across and picked up her book Smart On Crime, and really liked how unlike so many prosecuters, she worked to actually reduce crime, instead of just fluffing her conviction rate.
I’m a bit biased, as I’ve been a bit of a Harris fan for nearly a decade now. What she may lack in experience or fame, I believe she easily makes up in her ability to just straight-up handle people in direct communication. I think this was abundantly clear in any of her Senate hearings, and while those aren’t watched…
bigger universities, yeah.
I’ve certainly been thinking about it a lot more than I’m personally comfortable with...
thank you for publicly and willingly displaying your bigotry.
I’m not entirely convinced that isn’t already happening.
call me skeptical, but I’m rather suspicious of people armed with goddamned firearms claiming “self defense” against unarmed opponents.
He was told by the cops not to confront Martin, but somehow he still ended up in a confrontation with Martin.
We know very little about what actually happened outside of Zimmerman’s story, because the other witness is fucking dead.
srsly?
a real debate should be boring to that orange idiot
“stand your ground” was the defense used to justify murdering Trayvon Martin, despite George Zimmerman starting the “fight”
But further, how is this an example of how women are not valued?
because a woman was charged for getting shot, and you are upset that the author said “women’s lives are not valued”
