I don’t think it’s “why would they want to go to college” so much as it is “why would they put so much money, effort, and crime into getting admitted, and then skip class”

You get out of college/university what you put into it. There are a lot of dedicated students who learn more at a random community college than some of these kids do at an expensive prestigious university.

that paying below minimum wage is some bullshit, and I’m pretty sure you worked harder then I did for my shitty minimum wage.

and that’s just the federal income tax, there are all the other ones, like social security and such that doesn’t figure into the federal tax returns.

I imagine state varies by state, but I’m fairly certain I paid federal.  Granted, it was a pretty small amount, but I remember filling out the forms every year.

I don’t really know enough about the pros/cons to have a strong opinion.

it’s really fucked up, in that in a lot of states you can “consent” to have sex with someone before you are legally allowed to be able to view depictions of other people engaging in consensual sex (i.e., purchase pornography)
