back in the 80s, a cop came and talked to us elementary school kids about drugs.
I really liked The Babadook. I can sometimes get a bit twitchy/jumpy after a decent horror movie, but I felt The Babadook had a really good ending that provided decent closure or something, and was pretty calm/relaxed afterwards.
I feel this applies to pretty much any specific aspect of bigotry just as well
That...
I remember the Mr. Yuck stickers in the eighties... not sure if they had tv commercials then, but I didn’t watch much tv.
railings/guards less then hip-high are just worse than no railing. because if you slip off an edge with no guard, you might be able to catch yourself, or at least go down feet-first. If you bump into a short railing slightly too hard, you’re definitely going over, and you’re going over head-first. :(
I’m not good with heights, but I think it gets temporarily worse when I’m stressed, and is somewhat affected by exposure. (I’m fairly certain if I spent a lot of time climbing around, or even just hanging out at the height that just begins to bother me, I could gradually feel more comfortable at greater heights).
just carnivorous plants? or is it any plant that noticeably moves?

One thing people often overlook is that they always refer to “cups of coffee” as literal cups - like, the volume used in cooking; 8 fluid ounces.
I rather like Ikea.
remember polio?
I derived (and today, continue to...) way too much amusement from this mess.
I’m also worried about the Republicans blocking bills that were supposed to improve election security - maybe I’m veering into tin-hat territory, but I’m worried they’ll do a false-flag hack on an election they don’t care about, and then use that to claim any election result they don’t like is invalid.
conservative voters are a minority, but they are dedicated. Anything that makes voting more difficult, stops more liberal voters than conservative voters. I don’t have a citation, but I’ve heard that there is a slight bump for conservatives if it’s so much as raining on election day.
I’ve been seeing this bit circulating a bit recently, and just want to further spread it around:
have you reached out to any of your previous friends and offered support?
I really liked The Babadook, and I think at least part of my liking it was the resolution/happy ending bit
I forget where I saw it, but recently seen the claim that there are more men who are victims of sexual assault then there are men who are victims of false allegations of sexual assault.
