I was disappointed that Noah Hawley’s adaptation of Cat’s Cradle never seemed to materialize. The Fargo episode “The Law of Non-Contradiction” seemed to be a deliberate audition for it.

Funnily enough “I went to a school called Better Call Saul university!” is exactly what I told the cops after I got thrown out of that care home.

Also worth noting that the codebase for the original games went essentially opensource a little while back. A supermod called “STALKER: Anomaly” unifies the world of all three games into one singular sandbox, and is available entirely free from MODDB.

I probably wouldn’t recommend Anomaly for first-time-players, though…

The first STALKER game suffered at least three leaks during its development. While it is painful, it is also quite survivable in the long run. Russia basically legalized software piracy shortly after the war began so I’m not sure how surprising and scary they think their demands sound.
