I don’t know. Lizzo has more than a leg to stand on with a lot of the claims even if she still comes off as a shitty person. “I fired the dancer for illegally recording me in a state that requires my consent to film” goes a long way. “All of the dancers signed releases for the documentary and were given the option not

Shitty vs. actionable are two different things. It seems like Lizzo is probably a shitty boss who isn’t very nice to her dancers (and probably likes herself a whole lot better). That in and of itself isn’t illegal or a violation of any labor laws.

I don’t disagree, but I’d put his profile at about the same level of most of the people in the mix, to be honest.

Agreed - I do not think he’s doing great with his messaging, as mentioned. Maybe it’s just cos he speaks off the cuff, but I would think Peter Safran might jump in to help him with that part.

SAG-AFTRA also reiterated multiple times that actors were required to go to work. It’s literally in the contract that SAG-AFTRA members can’t strike with other sister unions.

I’m not angry at any body, but I can understand that if the Daily Show wants to be taken seriously (and avoid lawsuits), they may not want to get into business with someone who admitted to lying about political figures.

Frankly, Jon Stewart wasn’t a household name when he landed the show.

He’s losing work that is specifically about him telling facts.

A lot of people are acting like this is a gotch ya moment or some nonsense when he’s really just saying the same thing he’s been saying - some characters might come back, but the movies aren’t necessarily canon. I would think all of us who lived through Evan Peters on Wandavision and Patrick Stewart in Multiverse of

The tone of the show is the only reason I doubt it will be intentional. Slipped or fell seems to make more sense, not least of all because as low as he was feeling, he had just cheated death once that night.

There’s a part of me hoping we find out Ben fell.

They get a lot more on the American show, though - The old UK version, Gordon never did a makeover or bought in new stoves etc. I can see how that entices a failing business to put up with it (and to play it up for the cameras).

I honestly feel like somehow Dancing with the Stars was the straw that broke the camel’s back and Bob Iger suddenly wanted to play ball when it might be in jeopardy.

Just came to say that Dan Stevens was a genius choice for Solar Opposites and that gives me plenty of faith that this will also be fine.

Part of the larger statement was also the fact that many of these contracts likely predated the strikes.

In England, it can. Sophie is using the rental history in England along with their activities as proof that England is their habitual home and that since they are citizens under English law that would make England their permanent residence. So while it may not be a natural conclusion, it has legal precedent.

The petition as quoted by NBC includes a lot of details about alleged plans and already existing rental agreements etc. If Sophie has receipts, she’s probably got a strong hand.

News articles are quoting from her petition that she filed in court.

Yes, citing a broken down relationship. All the reasons why are being leaked by “sources” to tabloids.

Hers was made in a court of law instead of sources leaking stuff to the press.
