It’s certainly been said that the show was pitched to Rob Lowe that way, but it’s very clear from the pilot script that Josh was going to be the closest thing the team had to a “leader” no matter how much Martin Sheen showed up - frankly, his job title makes it clear. It definitely seems like it wasn’t the best place

I think part of the problem here is that he chooses to talk about it in a very vague way that has the added effect of making him just seem petulant. There’s nothing to suggest he wasn’t well-compensated or that Sam wasn’t adored by fans, for that matter. There’s always been speculation he was jealous of Bradley

She has since come forward to claim she was hacked. It still could be a prank gone wrong or something perpetuated by a parent for clicks (and the underlying truth that kids should not be YouTube commodities is very valid), but this also seems to be a case of the media jumping on a story that might not be a story.

Maybe update the headline now that more information is available including her own assertion that Claire Hope is not her legal name.

I don’t see where I said he insisted on anything. I said they opted for him to lose weight. If the director wanted hadn’t wanted Oppenheimer to look that thin, he wouldn’t have allowed the actor to diet or would have intervened. Murphy has said that he will not discuss what he did or didn’t eat but that it was extreme

Queen of the Damned is frankly better than it has any right to be given it was made just to hold onto the IP rights at the time. That doesn’t mean it’s good, but it somehow could have been so much worse.

Shocking that people might choose to create projects that they connect with on a personal level...

Nolan endorsed his choice to lose weight or he wouldn’t have cast him and then let him lose so much weight that he looked emaciated. Minimally, Nolan agreed with the physicality Murphy decided on and there is no doubt that Cillian Murphy went on a restrictive diet for the role.

On another note, a pitch perfect reference within the show.

I appreciate that Meryl Streep just always seems game to try things. I don’t think that’s necessarily news, but this isn’t the most obvious place for her to show up and she’s always a delight (unlike some of the older actors who seem to be looking to cash checks).

Maybe, but he and Nolan opted to have him lose quite a bit of weight for the role so here we are.

I do think there’s some validity to the criticism of the backlash on Lizzo that other singers aren’t really held to that standard. Compilations of Beyonce being a diva to the other members of Destiny’s Child get her called a queen as does that video where she literally steps over Michelle after she fell. There are

Might have just been an off night - I saw tapings as well and he was usually fairly engaged with the audience between bits, also during the TBS run.

And we’re supposed to assume now that they were together for almost 20 years and Carrie was just not as happy as she was with the guy she dated for less than 2 years.

I say likely because Carrie is a selfish asshole.

I honestly can’t believe that they are going the “Was Big a mistake route?” I think this sums up one of the biggest issues with the show. We’re supposed to believe that these women have lived the last nearly 20 years of their lives, but it’s like they’re also living their life as if it’s 2 weeks after the original

I’m pretty sure it’s also just normal, tbh. These sorts of postponements and such happen all the time. Most people just aren’t paying attention to the day in happenings of a trial.

Many people have pointed that out to her and others.

They have to sign an agreement agreeing to meet all demands on those projects so whatever the residuals etc are that has to be included in those contracts.

I’m talking about the conversation around dwarves in Snow White among little people performers. One group of actors is pleased they opted not to use little people to play the dwarves, one group is upset that they aren’t using little people.
