Pixies - Here comes your man

If you’re going 10, then it needs to be Oceans, Porch, and Garden.

Pink Floyd-Animals: “Dogs,” “Pigs (Three Different Ones),” and “Sheep.”

The opening tracks off of Courtney Barnett’s Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, “Elevator Operator,” “Pedestrian at Best,” and “An Illustration of Loneliness (Sleepless in New York)“ are really solid and were definitely a cool way to get introduced to her.

Stone Roses:

Who Loves the Sun —> Sweet Jane —> Rock & Roll

Man, there are so many killer Zevon three-packs. I’d argue that Life’ll Kill Ya’s “For My Next Trick, I’ll Need a Volunteer” > “I’ll Slow You Down” > “Hostage-O” is near perfect.

Damn the Torpedoes - Refugee/Here Comes my Girl/Even the Losers

Dire Straits, Making Movies - Tunnel of Love, Romeo and Juliet, Skateaway. Not even a big DS fan otherwise, but this whole album is nearly perfect, and particularly Side 1.

I started trying to list these for each REM album, although Murmur was harder than I thought it would be. Then I got bogged down around Document. My offerings to the cause:

Love - Forever Changes - Side 1

Not necessarily related but seriously, fuck off.

I was gonna go with The Right Profile > Lost in the Supermarket > Clampdown.

1. Any three songs on Astral Weeks

Black Cow -> Aja -> Deacon Blues.

I’m an REM guy, and will go with Begin the Begin, These Days and Fall on Me.

Prince’s closing trifecta of “I Would Die 4 U” > “Baby I’m A Star” > “Purple Rain” is pretty damn solid.

“Lost in the Supermarket”, “Clampdown”, and “The Guns of Brixton” is a pretty good 3 song run later in the album.

I like your Pink Floyd pick but mine has to be Dogs, Pigs, Sheep.

My first memory of listening to it happened to be on a road trip to New York City.
