I came here to say this. I’m an adrenaline junkie as well...skydiving, rollercoasters, basically anything. I don’t like horror movies. Mostly because I’m a counselor and I know people who’ve been traumatized and they make me upset. That doesn’t mean I’m less “brave.” It’s not brave to watch a movie.

I agree because I’m the opposite. It’s funny to me when a movie makes me jump or get creeped out, because it’s just a movie. Roller coasters I don’t understand. What’s the appeal of the simulated danger of jolting around that once in awhile actually injures people? Hate them.

You are not alone. I travel to find record breaking thrill rides and have a season pass to the closest park to me with roller coasters but I fucking HATE horror movies. When I went to see Ghostbusters earlier this year the first time, the opening sequence in the basement made me think “Well fuck maybe I shouldn’t have

I’m the other way. I’m absolutely not a risk taker, and I love horror movies, especially if they’re about something supernatural or are psychologically intense.

I’d agree that the two are not necessarily related. I have absolutely no desire to engage in any thrill seeking type behavior. I am scared to death of heights and would rather get a root canal then ride on a rollercoaster. On the other hand I’m a horror movie junkie and watch as many as I can. I love that kind of

I will jump out of a perfecly good airplane, but I scream at every stupid jump scare in movie. My partner begged me to stay up and watch The Gift last night. I didn’t fall asleep until 3 am.

I’m the opposite I think. I don’t seek thrills but I love horror movies and watch them as often as possible. I in fact use them to go to sleep a lot of nights. I haven’t quite figured out why I do that.

This reminds me of a video a coworker showed me a few weeks ago:

I love sealing wax. I bought some at Hallmark when I was about ten, with my birthday money, and then used it for years (until I lost the seals in a move). I wrote a lot of letters in my teens/early 20s, too (pen pals, plus a lot of SF fandom was conducted by letter back then), so I got a lot of use out of it.

I am so fucking shocked by this latest Trump revelation that I am practically beside myself. No, really, I am utterly and completely nonplussed by this. I would have never thought that a profane, lying, philandering, bigoted plutocrat would ever be a tax cheat. Nope. Didn’t see that one coming.

This may finally be the year where people love and appreciate the IRS.

I’d consider bequeathing my ‘fortune’ *snort, cackle* to my own workplace, a college library. We are a small institution, but we have over 8000 students and a whopping SIXTY computers that are available for drop-in use. Goddamn could we ever use an upgrade.

Some libraries have nap pods, which are fucking awesome. And since more and more journals and books are moving online (particularly for medicine and sciences, where you may need to look up stuff anywhere from a patient’s bedside to knee deep in a swamp), libraries are keeping only key print titles and replacing the

The McCoy version of simlish is so perfect, I nearly spit coffee all over my screen.

I’m a big fan of Jason Statham, but I think he’s too dirty to be “Bond”. I do think he would play an amazing 00 Agent, adjacent to either Craig or Hiddleston. Similar to Sean Bean’s character in Golden Eye. Different Double 0 Agents for different applications; EG Statham’s dockworker (low key, nameless infiltrator) to

Whether his absence is based on absconding, as oft alleged by the Government in their filings, or whether he was taken and secreted against his will, or whether he experienced the miracle of rapture is unknown to counsel.
