I at least get plenty of entertainment from the QOTD articles (or did when the notifications were somewhat working). I’ll interact in the comment section and then when I see the corresponding AOTD article I already know it will be a slideshow and don’t click

I’m trying to resist that crap as much as possible too. Refuse to get the latest version of office for that reason

It’s a very smart idea for making loads of money. We as consumers have to nip it in the bud and not let it normalize.

None

I seriously thought you were being facetious. Why would I want 10 businesses within a mile of me? Because there is an actual sense of community, I actually know the names of people working at my grocery store or weekend breakfast place. The street actually feels alive with people and dogs. I have nice things to look

Ehhhh, it’s striking and unique, got a little hot wheels flavor to it. It does ok on the cool scale for me

They need to bring these back. But they are a different conversation, no one needs to discuss their practicality compared to a regular pickup. These things need to look cool and haul ass

Not sure if you have the same vision as me but to build off your point about a long or even longish bed and lower to the ground, not everyone needs to tow heavy loads or even at all, and not everyone’s payload is super heavy. Sometimes things just take up a lot of space and simply need a longer easier to load bed.

I actually learn a lot from you and others raging about Eric’s bad takes, so like I said I’m here for the comments.

I think I was the first comment on the article so this one was easy to find. Take your star.

I will hopefully get back to my very important opinions on Italian supercars shortly, but you know what would be even cooler? If Kinja took you to the comment for which you received a notification. Or at least go back to highlighting it somehow. While I appreciate the work that goes into writing these articles the

Literally searching for a response I got when I read your comment. It used to take you directly to the comment tied to the notification including automatically expanding all the appropriate comment threads. This was in the long long ago. Keeps getting less and less functional over time

Coming from a Baja owner, the Baja woulda been great if it had a 5 or 5.5 foot bed. Also if Subaru kept building them they would’ve eventually ended up with a CVT and probably lose the peppy engine option. They killed it off early enough to where it died a hero and didn’t become a villain.

This is the main problem with the Santa Cruz as well as the Maverick, and this is coming from a guy who still owns and loves his Baja. The bed sucks, it doesn’t offer any benefit over an SUV trunk other than keeping your load away from the passenger compartment which is good if it smells I guess, but bad if it rains

What are the drag figures on anything with an exposed tailgate? Trucks really seem to have a hard time breaking the 23mpg plateau and I wonder if it’s because they just have a ton of drag from the bed.

Perhaps people should consider ride quality. Considering how trucks tend to be people’s primary vehicles and also not really working vehicles ride quality should be a big deal.

Wrong generation Bronco. Found instantly in my area. This one looks to be in good shape from a distance and is pretty cheap. 5-10 years ago it was like half that price. Not exaggerating my friend bought a 5.8 Eddie Bauer in good shape for $3,500 in 2015ish

The complaints would be appropriate as you are comparing it to 30 year old cars and this thing is slower than a Camry which is the defacto example of a practical car. But I’m actually not complaining, seems reasonable for what it is.

I found all of that fascinating, thanks for the contribution.

Didn’t even read, gonna spew my opinion anyway. Why is the Suez canal such a PoS? Like considering its global importance it seems completely underwhelming. Feels like a single decent sized airport has more infrastructure built in. If it’s such an important lifeline and gift to the world they should go dig it a little
