It looked the part but they made it a heavy under performing hybrid

Guess I’m out of date. Two years ago when I was shopping them they started at 55

Which is where the original F-150 Raptor starts...

Please give us a poll to vote on writer submissions so we can prove Rory’s Mom’s choice in cars right.

This was my first thought bit I thought it would be too obscure for people to relate. Big time Buick commercials. I remember one particular scene where the psychologist lady’s automated braking system goes off before she hits a garbage truck and they pan to the dashboard with the blinking light.

Yep all for a business doing that. Doing it at a gov level treads too close to China’s social score and how they bar people from being able to travel. I know it’s not apples to apples and that flying is not a right. But flying is a way of life, just like driving is not a right for example. There are already too many

Even anti vax coocoos don’t necessarily deserve the right to be denied transportation. People just need to act like damn adults.

I’m tired of companies pretending to be people.

Why are car companies tweeting?

This. I actually pitched AI controlled traffic grids to my mentor for a white paper topic a few years ago and he put me in touch with someone that actually worked pilot programs. It was basically dead in the water because the jurisdictions were impossible to get it to work.

Or the opposite idiots that stop in the roundabout to let people in

I actually didn’t realize power was up on the landing. Is that just in case you have to abort or do flaps down case too much drag?

Regen on landing is mostly only useful once your wheels touch the ground and the wing brakes are up. On approach you want to scrub speed but also maintain enough lift so they put the elevators all the way down which will do both

I get what you are saying but the problem is first/last mile. Most cities you go to public transit would require multiple transfers as well as still having to hoof multiple miles to/from the endpoint transit stations. Ditch the cul-de-sacs and strip malls first, then we can start implementing public transit.

You just don’t gain anything from a hybrid setup other than going electric over residential areas to make it quieter. There’s no regenerative braking when you fly so you are just adding weight and complexity for nothing. Anecdotally I speak a little from experience as the sponsor of my grad project kept wanting to

Problem with that one as I remember is it was basically designed to be dirty so you can fly it over places and ruin them. It’s like a bomber that doesn’t even need to drop payload.

This is still terrible. I used to have a 2012 WRX that would get me mixed use 27mpg in the suburbs and 24 when I moved somewhere a little more urban. Since then they made the car uglier, got rid of the 5 door, made the fuel economy worse, and only added like 5 horsepower. They’ve gone from a beloved manufacturer to

No one fill flock to public transport, it’s too damn impractical. The adoption of public transport has to start with restructuring of our cities and then people following, not the other way around like everyone wishes.
