My issue with gas prices is the BS explanation the stations and suppliers provide. When source pricing (barrel of oil) goes down, ‘it takes a while to trickle down’ because everything in the pipeline (pardon the pun) has been paid for at the higher price...but they raise prices the minute the price of a barrel of oil

How about a grid next time. This is abominable.

What ever dictator told you to make a 53 page slide show needs to be sacrificed in a volcano.

Oh goodness, the bZ4X is a terrible name.

This is a dumb comment by a person who thinks its a smart comment.

The $150MM/mi is reality along the most expensive stretch of real estate in the country. The $54MM/mi is fantasy from the person who literally has the most to gain by the gov financing a loop. It’s like comparing the cost of a new Boeing to a fleet of flying cars. The Houston to Dallas HSRR is currently at ~$83MM/mi

Didn’t stop them before when they just bulldozed thru poorer neighborhoods.  Oil lobby still has a grip on America.  Period.

Everything we’ve seen so far about the technical aspects of hyperloop has been deluded fantasy. So obviously and deeply flawed that it’s embarrassing.
So why would you beleive the dollar numbers they’re giving??

Problem is, we didn’t get bombed to hell in the ‘40s, so there’s a lot of shit in the way.

Not in this case.
Hyperloop wasn’t a long shot like, for example, vertical landing rockets, it always has basically been a scam for venture capitalist.

That doesn’t negate the fact that they’re morons & assholes.

These fuckin morons won the war, yet they still feel so goddamn aggrieved (For what, I don’t know. Being stupid fucking childish morons, I guess) they have to protest. Nothing in this country is shutdown. Most mandates, if anything, are for wearing a goddamn mask. A handful of employers require shots, and boo-fuckin

If your first reaction is “Grow up” then you are missing the point. Here is an opportunity for you to step in and reassure the folks who frequent this site that while you are losing two unique voices, you have many more that are committed to continue on the tradition of what made Jalopnik great: unique and irreverent

It’s not just David and Jason leaving man. It’s the broken comments system. It’s the constant listicles. It’s the lack of proof reading, the lazy reprints/links to other outlet’s articles, the ill advised hot takes like the “It’s okay people are robbing trains because they lost their jobs” article from a few weeks

What amazes me about Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars is that the ordinary ones are the same price as they were when I was a kid 45-50 years ago. Not as nicely made, but still, that’s kind of amazing. And good enough to be destroyed by kids.

Or they could pay their taxes... and say they paid $x billion in taxes and detail what that supports (education, healthcare, us defense, etc.)

The Polestar 2 would be my choice if I was in the market for a small(ish) electric vehicle. Volvo has a history of good build quality and excellent interiors, and the overall design of the car is nice as well. You also get the added bonus of not looking like a sod who bought a meme-mobile that makes farting noises as

A screwdriver to remove the dealer license plate frame. (Or hairdryer and adhesive remover for the really evil dealers who put on nameplates).

A good bedliner is so necessary to a pickup truck that they should come standard.

Fuel Shark. I get 1,000,000 miles per gallon and all my hopes and dreams have come true.
