COMTNDRVR did bring up a good point that goes along with something you said about most buyers not caring. I think over time enough buyers would start to care and the brand takes a hit so it will be interesting to see when hybridization/electrification makes this more or less moot

Lay it on me. I’m curious why they went down the CVT path so hard in the first place, what the compelling case for staying with them is, and what their long term plan is.

Paris is ait, traffic is an absolute nightmare. On our way in from the airport the uber driver cut off a sirens on ambulance in a tunnel in complete gridlock traffic and nothing made it seem like it was an outrageous out of the ordinary act.

At least they put a semi-decent engine option in there but the CVT still sucks. Why is Subaru so married to them?

Long term I would say culture change, generational re-development, and in the meanwhile something to keep the population on that path instead of saying fuck it where is my truck. We need to come to terms that for many places these solutions will take a loooong time and we might need to make things a little worse

That totally is a good solution, one that is employed quite a bit. However it accounts for the first 4 miles of your journey, not the last. It works under the assumption that the downtown destination will be <2 miles form the final station and has a decent walking path.

Unfortunately in many cases the destination is still very spread out and far away from the highway exit so while the rail might get you 85-90% there the remainder is still not walkable due to distance and/or unsuitable walkway conditions. City layouts are fundamental to the issue, busses trains or extra lanes are just

And Wilhelm scream

I guess they’ve had plenty of experience with sound engineering fake noises so I’m not surprised they are ahead. They did a good job with this one IMO

We have that on bigger traffic lights but based on my observations people seem to be complete unaware of it. The flashing hand in the crosswalk usually comes with a timer, when the timer runs out the light turns yellow.

They’ve all been very nice looking in my eye so not complaining but yea nothing feels special anymore, never know what’s current anymore, have no idea what the model hierarchy is.

I’m impressed with how well done it seems but it doesn’t have an actual tailgate so it gets a B, maybe B+

Take all your sketchy calls on a burner flip phone?

I am in no way defending this guy but yes paying for parking is definitely a thing and is not factored into tuition. Even over a decade ago it was very expensive.

Was totally expecting a slideshow but clicked anyway because I was interested. Pleasantly surprised, thank you.

They brought a generator with them. So while I commend their achievement this should be taken with a grain of salt as it was still powered by internal combustion in a way.

Please give us a poll to vote on writer submissions so we can see how many people want to spend their last days in a Solara

Dude that’s like saying at least these firefighters have jobs while a forest is burning. The small violin trope is a way to express that you have no sympathy or empathy for a person which in this case seems to stem from the fact that it’s a rich guy. So again, why the contempt? Mad at wealthy people in a time when a

Well they did have a hard go of it the last year, but I’m sure they’ll appreciate being treated with decency way more than anything Tik Tok can offer. By why the contempt for someone? Just because they are well off? Because he wanted solar panels?
