Really, Tim?

Nope. Fuck this all to fucking hell. So disappointed that NY mag signed on for this, and with Daphne Merkin of all people. They’re supposed to be better than that.

I have no idea what kind of parent Mia Farrow is. But even if she was awful, that doesn’t excuse Allen’s behaviors. Even if you set aside the accusation from Dylan (and I don’t think we should), Allen began an affair with his de facto stepdaughter when she was a teenager.

I was actually slightly impressed by how accurate that terminology was. It may be subconscious, but some part of her knows the start of that “romance” was unbelievably creepy.

We chatted about it, and I must have been impressive because he kissed me.”

Their entire “love story” is a textbook case of grooming. If her claims of abuse by Mia are true, far from discrediting the idea that he groomed Soon-Yi, it would have made her a more likely target. Abusers will often pose as “saviors” to get troubled children to trust them. He’s scum.

The only way I can deal with Soon Yi is assuming she’s got a monster case of PTSD-y Stockholm Syndrome. Or maybe some other psychological issue I don’t know the name of. Allen Syndrome. Something. Whatever syndrome you get when your guardian grooms you and explosively alienates you from your family and marries you and

“I think Woody went after me because at that first basketball game I turned out to be more interesting and amusing than he thought I’d be...”

Soon-Yi seriously needs a counselor. My message for Woody is more blunt:

She remembers all the details of her allegedly unhappy childhood, but can’t recall how the great romance of her life started? Because it was so long ago? Sure Jan.

I think Woody went after me..”

Dear Woody and Soon-Yi:

I dunno about implicating everyone, but ho-lee-shit was that a poorly-worded defense. Tryna make sexual assault analogous to, idk, scratching your butt in public is not a good look.

Yeah, the wording in that statement is... puzzling? Why not just say they take these accusations seriously, but the evidence so far has not caused them to reconsider or something to that effect? I mean when someone is accused of attempted rape, who states that makes them support to accused even more?

Man here. Have never worried about my career being destroyed by a rape allegation. Apparently, it’s common for Republicans though.

He doesn’t care. They’re about to overturn the very concept of government regulation of business. This is what the oligarchs want and they’ll get it by any means necessary.

Does the White House counsel know he may have just implied that damn near every man on earth (himself and his boss included) has been abusive to women?

“If somebody can be brought down by accusations like this, then you, me, every man certainly should be worried. We can all be accused of something.”

On the other hand serial killers and other criminals often target sex workers because they know they're not as protected by the law. And legalizing or decriminalizing sex work could involve putting in place requirements to be continuously tested for diseases in order to keep your "license".

“Death toll? It’s made up by the Dems! Now, if you’ll excuse me....
