I believe the president of the university argued that we all need to learn to hear dissenting opinions and respond to them. But that’s the purpose of a commencement speech. if you want to expose your students to differing opinions, bring her in for a roundtable or debate with the student body.

I am shocked DeVos has lasted this long in her job. I cannot imagine her upbringing as a billionaire prepared her to be hated everywhere she goes. (I mean she was probably hated before, but it’s a lot more vocal now.)
