The private attorney must be hired and paid for by the student (victim or accused), so it would give a huge advantage to those students with the means to hire a private attorney, which students without those means would lack. Doesn’t really increase “fairness” in that way. Just one potential issue with that provision.…

Interesting! I think Orpah is a pretty name, but it’s a bit hard to pronounce and very uncommon, so I can definitely see how “Oprah” happened.

Orpah is a Biblical name, she’s from the book of Ruth. Ofrah is also a Hebrew name meaning “fawn.” Not sure about the origins of Oprah’s name, though.
