According to the Google machine, they had an affair in 2002 that lasted about a year, and then he went back to his wife. Not sure how that means he screwed her over, though.
Oh, I'm not saying the police take it seriously, just that stalking/harassment is a crime and can be reported. It's good to be apprised of the law and your rights, especially if the police aren't going to take you seriously.
Not sure where you live, but in the United States, stalking is most definitely a crime (state and federal). It does not have to escalate to burglary or physical assault in order to become criminal.
Whoa, people are so down on "Dear"! I had no idea that this was a controversial topic. In my field (law), it's the standard greeting for formal business correspondence, and any other salutation would probably be seen as strange.
This sounds like a letter from Hercule Poirot. I love it.
I hear that, but I feel awkward when the customer service person uses their own first name ("Hi, this is Jenny, how can I help you today?") and then calls me "Ms. Trashmouth." It feels weirdly elitist, although I know they're just following some corporate script. We are equals, Jenny! You can use my first name!
I start all my correspondence with "My Dearest Tom Selleck," regardless of addressee.
Check your leg privilege, ladies!!! #NotAllBipeds
I think there's a line. My dad is awesome and we have a great relationship, and I do see similarities between him and my husband. But I also see similarities between my mom and my husband. I was looking for someone who had good character traits, like kindness, generosity, and intelligence, which I think BOTH my…
Jessica is a baller, and I WANT ALL HER CLOTHES please. I had to quit watching that show because I got tired of the constant Mike/Rachel drama (lol no 1 curr), but I really miss Jessica. Cast Gina Torres in more things, please! She was my favorite character in Firefly, too.
A few months after my first serious boyfriend dumped me and broke my sad, naive little heart, I saw him with his new girlfriend at a mutual friend's party and was devastated to discover that she was thinner than me and had better hair. I thought it would be very gracious and poetic if I walked up to him and said,…
Yes, thank you! We need to be precise about our language when we discuss abortion, because this kind of fuzziness is exactly the tactic pro-lifers use to obfuscate the real issues. A fetus is not a toddler, medically or legally.
I didn't say Uber was worse than cabs, you are the only one who has made any comparison to cabs. I said they have a bad safety record, a history of failing to abide by their own safety policies, and they haven't handled their mistakes well. Therefore, I do not support them and I didn't like their PR stunt. If you like…
Uh, they donated money for one day, last year. And they have a terrible record of not screening their drivers, lying about it, refusing to change anything, and then touting the safety of Uber cars. They also vastly inflated (lied about) the numbers of how much their drivers make to bolster their branding as a company…
Uber is really reaching here. I was annoyed as soon as I opened the email - it came from David Plouffe and was titled "Choice is a Powerful Thing," and I had no idea he worked for Uber now, so I assumed it was something about abortion rights from the DNC. Do they honestly think that some name-dropping and…
I've always thought she looked like a cat, but in a good way. Cats are pretty!
