Something tells me these guys’ feet are probably in tip-top shape like the rest of them. I mean, the feet are precious. They press the fun pedal. Keep those babies well-pedicured (or at least pretty clean and healthy) or suffer in pain.

There is nothing in the 400 miles between Lincoln and Scottsbluff.

Speaking of not preparing: Good luck getting a hotel anywhere in Nebraska this late in the game. Most places have been booked out for more than a year. Which is fine by the people of Scottsbluff, who I’m guessing would rather not have you and your friends coming in to judge, ridicule and mock them for being boring,

Jesus, people are still going on about the Wonder Woman screening? FFS, it was a single screening to promote the first female-directed female-superhero film. The Alamo did not open a new series of theatres that only allow women to watch movies in order to prepare them for the main coed theatres, which would probably

While the end goal for equality in racing here is the same (and no one’s going to call you a sexist idiot), how it’s being addressed is the problem here.

I do not understand this, at all. There are plenty of other sports where I kind of get it. There improbabilities (not impossibilities) involved in finding talented women athletes who have the stature to compete in sports where things like height and weight play a significant role in performance. It’s matter of

its not that they arent as fast.. some definitely are... its just that racing is still very much a boys club...... so basically cooties and fuck i might lose to a girl is keeping them out/pushing them away

Yeah, that’s absurd. Women have been racing against men for as long as racing has been a thing. A female driver shouldn’t be a gimmick or a spectacle. She’s there to do her job just like the dudes.

There is no reason a woman can’t compete in any of the existing series given the opportunity. If they really wanted to promote it they should try and get some seats for women to race in. Seems it would promote women in racing more if they say take some of the current top female drivers and enter an all female team

...and then if you get that test, you’re probably going to get skipped over for a ride for drivers who have demonstrated that they’re able to beat the competition in F1's main ladder series, not a shorter special series for one gender only.

I think you’re confusing “track ready” with “I have my racing license and I am looking to enter the IMSA Sportscar Championship next season with my road car.”

At this point, all of my fellow Nebraskans are looking at the Iowa plate on the Civic and nodding vigorously.

I agree, this imbalance needs to stop. We need cars designed and built in America, like the Ford Focus, Buick Cascada or the Chevrolet SS.

Speaking as a native Wisconsinite and a pedant, neither Kraft or Velveeta are actually “cheese”, they’re “pasteurized processed cheese food”.

Kraft & Velveeta? So no real cheese was harmed. Nothing to see here, zero fucks given.

Stef’s comment is correct. Track days are a controlled environment ergo all cars should be under the same level of control. There’s plenty of unexpected shit that still happens on a normal track day so the goal is to keep that at a minimum.

If I were at HPDE, I would be extremely annoyed at this guy. If someone takes a pass on me and I see him smoking his tires, my assumption is he’s out of control, and I will need to be evasive. That’s not a great feeling. Seeing it was intentional? I’m going right to the head instructor. IMO, he should’ve been

Because when you’re hooning and everyone else is not, your car has entirely different driving dynamics than the rest of the field. Your car moves differently, which means it’s a hazard to the field.

The fact that he got flagged 3 sessions in a row and they say he “may” not be invited back is actually fairly surprising.
