I think the point, in part, is that there is no reason for uproar about the fact that he did not disclose his status to the world, and that outrage over the fact that he did not disclose to his partner is based on stigma rather than medical risk.

Wasn’t it revealed that he paid the $10 million to the woman who he had unprotected sex with who found out about his HIV status after the fact? I’d say that’s a bit different than the story he was trying to sell to the public.
