As far as I know, no country has adopted the system I’m describing. I think that if people could vote “no”, as in they don’t like candidate X, a lot of the voter turnout issues would be solved.

Actually, all those abstainers can be counted if people had a “no” option on the ballot beside each name. Under this system, the person who wins is the person with the most net vote count, i.e. take all “yes” votes and subtract all the “no” votes for each candidate.

Obama has had to SC appointments and where has that gotten us? Roe v. Wade is going to be debated again, NSA spying policies are legal now, presidential drone strike kill list is legal, and money is speech. That’s not any different than Republican-appointed SC judges.

Here’s the thing: if you go to a country for any extended period of time (i.e. anything more than a layover), the respectful and normal thing to do is to learn the local language.
