Is it really, though? I mean—one jar of a good spice is $5-10. And I might use two or three tablespoons of it before it goes bad or gets lost or whatever. And I’m supposed to buy how many spices to have a decent variety of meals?

I’m not sure about boys, but I distinctly remember realizing that I liked girls around age 5 or 6. I probably wouldn’t have articulated it that way, but I was really drawn to the girls in cartoons, liked to play the superhero saving the damsel in distress, etc.

Yes, we are talking about 7 and 8 year olds. Do you think most schools are like, “Your kid who has a penis wants to be called “she” and use the girls’ restroom? Yeah, we’re totally cool with that with no verification.”?

I don’t think the OP means any harm here. And while I don’t know about any boys in Girl Scouts, there are girls who participate in Boy Scouts, so it’s not a silly question. Frankly, I don’t see why there would be anything wrong with a boy in Brownies really.

Transgender kids have to go through extensive counseling and psychiatric examination before they transition. It’s not like playing dress up. We have lots and lots of research that shows that gender is set by around age 2-3. It isn’t really that complex.

As far as I know, there is no actual rule against boys joining Girl Scouts, although I’m sure some individual troops wouldn’t want to deal with having to separate sleeping facilities and stuff like that.

I think we would all be highly interested in that.

Look, I agree that the optimal solution was for people to not be jackasses and to legalize gay marriage through popular vote. Preferably back in the 60’s when the topic first came up.

These people realize that there are lots of religions that are okay with gay marriage, right? “Freedom of religion” doesn’t mean just your religion.
