@ink: Yep. Website, mobile app, human-size robot with advanced AI (sky's the limit, right?)

@ink: HTML5 is good. It doesn't have the capabilities of Flash, but it also doesn't share some of its (seriously) obnoxious limitations. Plus, it'll continue to grow as a language.

@ink: That wagon's going nowhere but good places. Do it. It changed my life.

@leftyleftylou: I don't think stoprobbers is trying to say that you don't deserve the same rights as straight people because you haven't done x/y/z. Clearly, the current situation is deeply unfair to the gay community. Gay people shouldn't have to do ANYTHING to get the same rights that mainstream Americans have —

@Federov: Madame Tussauds is offended.

@Cairn: Re: facts vs. beliefs:

Dude, if saying "is this OK with you?" ruins sex for you, you've got some serious issues to work out.

@andBegorrah: Hmm. I think mine is looking for a change of pace.

@SallySassyPants: Because they would've lost Democrats' votes. Remember, 34 House Dems didn't support the bill yesterday (down from 39 who opposed the first vote).

Yep, I did a double take ("wait, those aren't real people!") before reading the headline. Maybe it's because my eyesight's not so great?

@bluesbelle: This is why it irritates me when wealthy people talk about how much they like to work, how they work all the time, etc. You love your job? Great. You can afford to. Try working 60+ hours a week in some tedious shit job while living out of your car, then let's hear about your work ethic.

@mixedupfiles: Or the ability to work on interesting projects, take classes, travel, attend conferences and lectures, etc. Choice, control, and access — not to mention principles — are expensive.

Oh my, what an indelicate topic.

@CubeRootOfPi: I pick one thing and set a goal. So instead of learning a language (or in my case, programming language) I tell myself I'm going to release a game/site/album in X months. Turns me into an obsessive maniac, but I learn shit FAST.

Spent 2 hours this afternoon pacing around my parked car and humming to myself. I probably looked like a total nutter, but I came up with 2 vox melodies for my band's upcoming album. GREAT Sunday.

"Some companies even make it a fireable offense for employees to compare salaries, or they write something into the standard employment contract prohibiting workers from disclosing their pay. (In the United States, this kind of rule is unenforceable, by the way, but some bosses hope their workers won't know that.)"

Jaw. Floor. These are some of the most stunning pieces I've ever seen.
