I think Disney is smarter and has a lot more goodwill as a company than Comcast does (I kinda think their equally shady just better at hiding it) AND while some of the things I love most would benefit from a Disney acquisition I’m extremely skeptical of Disney gaining even more power.

Thank you. I was wondering why all the states seemed to be at least next to each other but it was saying my address in California was way on the other side of the supercontinent :)

He would either have to inflict so much damage that humanity, as a whole, was so scared of the next invasion that they threw all their resources into protecting from it or more likely, have to make the aliens a consistent threat throughout the next decades that it is constantly a possibility.

However, one of the major

Until very recently I felt this way too. But then I realized the problem is that he was marketed as “America’s” in a much darker but not dissimilar way as Captain America in his first film. No one really views him as a ‘god’ in that world, not yet, so much as they view him as a weapon. The fact that Dr. Manhattan

I know I can talk directly to creators on Twitter now but I like the idea of a letters page. I wish they’d bring them back.

Pretty sure “Clex” is the slash fic nickname for Clark/Lex.

I read the first arc with Jon and thought, “Superman as a dad. It’s so obvious. Why did it take 80 years for this?”

That was my actual thought by the way. It just makes ALL the sense.

Zoe Quinn’s name alone wouldn’t get me to buy a book, the cover art is rad, the premise sounds cool, that’s why I was gonna check it out anyway but the few negative comments about her here would have inspired me to buy this book even if I was originally uninterested.

I’m a little worried about his Superman. Was worried with his “story” in AC1000 and Man of Steel hasn’t really helped assuage that feeling.

I really liked Gleason’s and Tomasi’s Superman with Lois and Jon. It’s the entire reason I started buying Superman. If Bendis even just ignores Lois and Jon and the family dynamic

Still no. The original look doesn’t resemble a vagina at all (I would entertain the argument that the new look in “Solo” does for about 25 seconds before dismissing it as reaching).

However with this new comment I now I feel like you’re trying to make a joke that is either really bad or just going over my head.

I’m gonna need a print of that “space-o-pus” concept art...

Not really though.

A couple look like they’re trying to be a LITTLE subtle but one is just glaringly obvious.

I copied that exact line to come down here and say this exact thing. Looking at the designs I was like “That’s just the MF with an x-y-b-wing attachment; that one is just the MF if it were the baby of a YT and a Star Destroyer... etc.” Then I kept reading and the author pointed it out like it was a good thing... like

Of course it’s statistically absurd. But I do it less to make myself “feel good” and more to avoid falling into the trap of “Oh you’re making this previously straight character who’s never been with someone of the same sex before suddenly bi? This is getting ridiculous” because most bi people look straight until they

I... think you’re misunderstanding what I said and that you actually agree with me...

The point of my comment was that even the costumes she said hadn’t changed HAVE ACTUALLY changed quite a bit and we should enjoy as long as something looks good we should enjoy it.

Why not both?

The subset of fans who seek out queer fanfic is pretty small potatoes compared to the overall fanbase.

Also, any given straight character is often paired with any other given straight character, regardless of canonical attraction or relationship, too. I’m purposefully latching on to the “simply because

I haven’t seen it yet but if everything you said is true it’ll be hard to sell me on them mocking the trope unless they LITERALLY put her in a refrigerator.

No. I don’t know when Green Arrow switched his hat for the hoodie but I know it was well before 2015 (when Spider Gwen started). Not to mention all the characters who have worn hoods (though not necessarily hoodies), often attached to a cape, through the decades.

That was kinda my thought when I saw it too. If she’s going out into the universe perhaps these outfits are Kryptonian styles that more appropriate for alien worlds.
