Okay, as like an investment? She was a trainer, and he seemed to like her program, so it tracks. And having him as an investor might give the studio a boost. Does it make sense that she would then lose his favor by accusing him of rape and sue him for it?

The most notorious case of what was considered a frivolous lawsuit was brought by a woman? I believe it. It was such a big thing until the full court docs, with the evidence was made public with that documentary.

It’s both their stories. Just Taylor is the person most likely to get shunted to the side.

The problem is that whenever there’s a civil suit (it is to award damages in the form of money) where a woman like Taylor suing a very rich man, the insinuation is that she lied to do so. It doesn’t matter if the outcome is that money is handed over - it’s that her story doesn’t even matter, that she is just another

Cambodian style Godwin’s law. You bring up khmer rouge in an argument that has nothing to do with genocide? You lost the fucking argument.

Woooww. Yeah that works really well.

Especially one like the UK.

This, too. Still think he’d be heckled by reporters if we were going about it the UK way. He got blown to pieces each time he went.

Yeah. I am an American. I think Brexit will hit us pretty hard, too. Mostly because there’s no contingency plan if everything goes down the tubes. These idiots think every thing will be fine, which may be the case, but the immediate future looks bleak.

I think I remember TE.

For some reason, we are so worried about civility. I mean its not like colonists didn’t tar and feather loyalists, or tip a shit ton of tea into the ocean to protest the crown🤷‍♀️

This feels awesome.

Its hard to sustain criticism for someone who makes mistakes, realizes it, the talks about them and apologizes.

There’s a difference between acknowledging that they were lied to and being afraid to appease a dictator (which we had been doing for a long time at that point anyways). We went into Iraq on the false premise of Hussein having WMD’s and somehow taking some part in the attacks on 9/11, both of these were false.

Yeah, I get that a lot from my Boomer parents. Like they don’t get that 9/11 is the impetuous for all this, and we watched those towers go down (in real time, even if we weren’t in NYC), had to see those people jump to their deaths, but because the wars that are waging right now are not Vietnam, we can’t claim any

Yup - the double standard is damaging, mostly because it does pressure men to sleep around as a status thing, but also women who do sleep with them are not equal but beings who should be scorned for having slept with them. It boggles the mind.

Yup. I think so , too. Companies encourage undocumented workers to come, but it is the people who get hurt when they’re caught. Its all part of the system.

Well, yes there’s that component, too, but there is a huge problem with migrants being encouraged to come over under our current system - an extra legal one, then imprisoned if they get caught. Immigration will always be an issue because of our system.

Remember you can still “ secure the border” and be strict on immigration without being a shit weasel about it. There are ways, humane ways, that can discourage illegal migration while encouraging legal migration. And it does require an overhaul of the system as it is now.

I think also the bigger point is that he’s saying lets wait for the decision, but he’s already decided that Taylor is already lying, based on his assumption that there’s a whole “industry” extorting players. I’m sure there is an industry extorting players, but it ain’t women lining up to accuse players of sexual
