I’m looking forward to the new Bryan Camp, City of Lost Fortunes was excellent! Definitely a read for fans of American Gods.

FYI Goodreads has done away with their Deals page. You now only get Kindle Daily Deals, which are not tied to your interests.

And then there’s the market of us who will be wearing our Pebbles until they become Bricks.

When I bought my Hyundai Sonata from the dealer, the website listed it as CPO. The Carfax said CPO. Then they tried to charge me $2000 for an extended warranty, which I turned down because it’s certified, right? But my purchase paperwork said nothing about being certified so we went back to them. Turned out that

I took the night off of work to watch the eclipse. Then I saw no North America. Oh well, who needs money?

Just saying, this is always my favorite post on here. I use it to add to my Goodreads Want to Read shelf.

On Netflix, check out Big Eden. The relationship drama and the painfully awkward crushes are as cute as the supportive townsfolk who just want everyone to be happy.

If you’re in it for the (text) books, your library might also has Overdrive which has a much much larger book selection. I moved from an Overdrive library to a Hoopla library and was rather disappointed in the book selection. Hoopla did have audiobooks for more obscure titles, where they did not have the printed book.

Book of M is very good. I just read Nod by Adrian Barnes a week before and Book of M reminded me strongly of it. More human, though, more about relationships at the end of the world. Not to say it doesn’t have some really interesting things to say about what happens when memories and magic get twisted together.

Robin McKinley had a stance similar to Anne Rice. Make your own characters, write your own stories. Except her most famous works are re-tellings of fairy tales. How is what she did any different from what she wants us to not do?

Body glide looks like a travel-size deodorant so a nice size and super easy to stash in a purse.

That sounds like fun for the girls carrying pads and tampons around.

What’s in Kamakura that is worth it?

Its not about calling EC an abortion pill, the mother in the show, upon learning that her daughter was pregnant, spiked her daughter’s drink with the morning after pill. The point of the article was to say if she’s already registering as pregnant, emergency contraception won’t do jack.

Actually it’s under Philosophy.

Clouds? I heard it was 99 red balloons.

Can there be upright charging pads, like as a phone stand? Would it be possible to DIY something like that? Or does it have to be flat?

My cereal box viewer didn’t really work, maybe because of the clouds? Anyway. The ladies next to us at the beach let us borrow their glasses to check it out. Also fortunately, the sun went behind the clouds right after peak, so I could look at it like that.

Are there cards you can redeem for goods? I feel like I’ve heard of people getting TVs and things with credit card points.

I have a cash rewards card, but I’ve become aware that point cards generally go further. Are there non-travel rewards cards? Travel seems to be the only thing I find for “rewards credit card”.
