Really? I get excited when I see an Eagle on the street. They're rarer than hen's teeth, and I live in the northernmost large city in Canada.

Lovely, but not on the Supra. They look great on older Cressidas and Celicas. Even the AE86 in my back yard looks good with them. Just never been a fan of them on the MkII itself.

My car sits on H&R springs, which have the dual function of dropping it about an inch and a half from stock and making the ride quality equivalent to bad chiropracty. It looks lovely, but on northern Canadian streets it's a ludicrously bad ride.

And despite all that, it's damned beautiful, especially considering it's a '79 and American.

Victory.

Love the stance, love the Ronals, and I have some affection for MkIs generally, but for $6000 I could hack together the same build and some legit engine mods at the same time. Crack pipe.

This is one of my favourite rally videos ever.

Pretty, clean, and maybe worth $8000 with a turbo 7M swap. Crack pipe.

@zenneth: Forehead slap inbound.

@Psiu! Puxa!: I love your Volvo 240! But I digress: Number 17 is the Monkeemobile, and I'm pretty sure 15 is from one of the Ninja Turtles movies. Number 11 is the Mirthmobile. I don't know about 12 or 20, but I know that I'll slap my forehead in exasperation when someone correctly identifies it.

@bozoerrebbe: Thank you for bringing this up. I expect better from Jalopnik.

Worth it for the parts alone. I have a buddy with three spare water-cooled VW engines, and a Supra shell with nothing under the bonnet. Of course, none of them are as delicious deranged as this monster. Nice.

@Matt White: No kidding you should have. 80k miles on an E30 is practically factory-fresh.

1967 Valiant, slant-6, five speed, four door, ridiculous orange-and-pea-soup paint job, $2000. Sigh.

@RandomArt: That car is why I love window louvres.

There's also Desolation Jones, which is notable for its art if nothing else. I've only ever been able to find the first trade, though, so I don't know where it's at these days.

@TRAMS_AM: I assume the offset must be close, but the bolt pattern, to the best of my knowledge, is wildly different, at least on VWs. It's a pretty serious conversion job to make them fit. Worth it, though. They're gorgeous.

@irishman72: They look brilliant on a MkIII Golf.

@Lex Luthor II: Less impractical than something that's 250 light-years away; one packet is merely a lifetime, not three or four or fifty.
