@Curse_Your_Sudden_But_Inevitab...: The Joker puts me in mind of Jack White.

1.8L VW turbo driving each set of wheels.

@exartist: Amen, sir! When I get around to not-buying a car, it'll be one of these, or a 75. God, they're beautiful.

3.0 CSL.

@DynamicRanger: Well put. Of course, the 80s are cool again, but only "ironically".

Most any minivan, Previa excepted. I Jalop, I don't remember who, noted that the minivan is the car you're obliged to drive, not the car you choose to drive. I hope not to find myself in that position, because it means I've lost the imagination to consider a 240 wagon a family car.

Damn, Graverobber, you're reading my mind. Two dream cars in as many days? The first time I saw a Delta Integrale in the flesh, at a May rally near the Montana border, under eight inches of snow, I nearly had an aneurysm. Nice Price, no matter what they're asking.

@bonestock94: Nah, man. E36 and 46 is "hood rich", at least hereabouts. Especially the one kid with the yellow M3 with a bunch of trim missing. E30s and older are straight-up enthusiast cars.

@layabout: No, they're exceptionally rare in North America. Even in Canada, where it's relatively easy to import cars, they don't show up that often. I saw one on the street on a trip to Vancouver a couple years ago and nearly shit a brick.

I'd pay that much for a clean, straight E30 wagon shell. To get one with a tuned suspension and an S50 is a dream. Nice price.

I'm only one province and maybe a twelve-hour drive away from Vancouver, so border troubles wouldn't be an issue for me. That being the case, for a car this unique, $5500 would be worth the dozens of weeks of fiddling and tweaking to make it run and make it original. My love of tiny, peppy runabouts makes this NP.

Any pickup with a frame lift. Hereabouts, you get guys flush with oil money buying immense one-tons and blinging them out, including pricey lifts and mudding tires, then doing nothing with them but puttering from their homes to their jobs and back, and never leaving pavement. It's a shame, and it's annoying to share

@mike563: Except unlike someone alive in 1850, this galaxy may well still be out and about, lawn bowling or whatever a galaxy does when it retires.

@NewsWorthy1: A MkI Jetta with a 16v is a crazy mother of a car. Have fun.

They're beautiful little cars, but I have a friend who would sell me a two-door just like this one with far more comfortable seats and a 16-valve 2L for half that. So, a crack pipe of circumstance.

@SEXYHAMMER: Fair, but the head-gasket issue is well known, and if it's a new gasket, even improperly torqued, as long as you don't have coolant in the oil you can just torque it down to the correct specification and you're golden.
