It kind of depends on what the Demon actually is, that is true, but if it is just a more aggressive version of the Hellcat, which is what I think. Bit more hp, bit lighter, different tires, than it will be just the car all enthusiasts want. And to be honest, the Hellcat is already just an enthusiasts car.

I think the good deals on the Hellcat might be the reason for the Demon. 10k is quite the discount on a vehicle that was selling above MSRP not too long ago. Maybe they want to recapture some of that initial hype to help sales.

Yea, but you can have a 2006 BMW M5 V10 for about 15k right now. And in a few years those hellcats C7s and what have you will be as outdated as a V10 M5 is today.

I think buying it today is still a bad deal, wait for the Demon unveil, or better until it hits the dealerships. The second best is nothing anyone is interested in, so prices will plummet even more.

A gas engine isn’t cheap and it takes up space and weight. Tesla, VW and others are already planning for 10-15 minute recharging, so the fast refueling part won’t be as much of a benefit as it is for the Volt now.

Yea I ‘ve heard the next generation can also change diapers and is usually pretty good at playing football. Scientists just have to find out if its American, or EU football. But they are working on it!

I won’t believe it, until I see it. 30% power increase isn’t really something manufacturers usually do, especially not just 2 years after the Hellcat was introduced.

That would be some kind of weird 1/4 mile pass. History says 30 seconds, so it might be quite a high quarter mile time, maybe be because he spent 2.5 seconds at 180hp doing whatsoever, searching for the next gear or so. In his Durango, btw.

American cars aren’t, but Fiat-Chryslers cars still are really unreliable. Not all of them, but still most of them.

At those power levels and such low speeds, air resistance is negligible. Most cars don’t even need 100kW to overcome air resistance at 120mph, so probably 10kW at 60. But for 0-60 times in that range, we are talking multiple thousand kW of power.

The thing that actually limits acceleration is the tires. So more power won’t change anything. The driver would just have to be even more careful with the throttle. If you, on the other hand, had a rocket at the back, you just need about 16000 hp per ton, if thrust is applied continuously, to reach 0-60 in 0.061

I’d even say ring times are the most pointless. A 0-60 time is something you can replicate in your vehicle, at least with a bit of training. And if you can’t, the car maker cheated, that’s easily provable. But have you seen how they test ring times now?

Actually it makes the cars advancement look a lot better, if you compare it to lots of 80s vehicles. There was the iron duke Camaro, the Ferrari Mondial, Maserati Biturbo, the Cadillac Cimarron.

So you might actually got it. Almost none of those vehicles are sold to people that would actually use it. But by buying those, you can feel like you can be, whatever you want. Regardless, if you are skilled, or fit enough.

That would be really comforting for a young father, buy this car and just leave your children at home. Enjoy the life of a young single male, maybe even indefinitely from now on.

Because she already owns the car. Maybe she would have bought it even though the ads don’t really include her. But I mean what if you were a woman not really looking for a nice sporty car, but actually liking the idea of owning one, this is how you loose them. Or people with children, or people that don’t have a

Maybe the notion that car people are between 20 and 40, don’t have kids, don’t buy groceries and most importantly must be able to stand while peeing.

You let your wife dive your GT86, how could you? Isn’t she off in some spar, thinking about leaving you, because you spend too much time with your car and can’t even be bothered with buying groceries? You should have to give your car back, since it clearly isn’t for you!

This ad is definitely the best way, to reduce your potential customers by 50%. Maybe even more, since women should like driving as much as men, but they usually buy less sports cars. Convince all of them to buy a GT86 and Toyota would be swimming in money.

That is basically the perfect commercial for the GT86. For any car to be honest.
