I don’t know... There aren’t too many affordable sports cars around anymore.

Those enriched leaders of unions... Luckily the poor CEOs and investors of big companies aren’t enriched at all!
You might be a car guy, ou are clearly not a people person, that’s for sure!
Yea, to make the Model S a real track car, they would need to give it an appropriately sized radiator. But that would hurt aerodynamics. So that’s a no go for the street cars.
Why would you need engine noise for drifting?
You move your own furniture? Why would I do that? You know there are people that will do that fo you?
So 3000 miles (generously) in 6 months where you really needed that car, 6k a year, which is less than the average MB SL gets moved, so I guess you use if for more things than just that.
Of course that’s not the same. Siemens has a 260 kW motor that weights 50 kg / 110 lbs. Also three phase internal permanent magnet motor with radial flux. And that’s continuous output, peak should be even higher.
It’s an early adopter premium, just like a cell phone.
Thing is, once you’ve actually learned how your car behaves, traction control is useless (as you said) and becomes a nuisance. If I need to pull out quickly into a gap in traffic, I don’t need my car suddenly cutting power mid-turn so I have to adjust my steering unexpectedly. If I’m pulling a quick U-turn and expect…
And that’s why I say they shouldn’t turn it off on public streets. There is no reason to ever do that, other than trying to be an idiot. If you know how hard you can press the go pedal w/o making the wheels spin, then you will never even notice traction control anyways. But to find that limit, you will have to learn…
Like I said, controlled conditions. I wouldn’t do it on a deserted mountain pass, but if you have a stretch of road with close to no traffic, good visibility and nothing to fly into, then it’s as good as a race track, or better, since it’s free ;-)
Well, luckily you are such a tough guy. So I guess you would probably wrestle the car to compliancy, if it needs be...
Oh my car just flew into oncoming traffic naturally, if I push the gas pedal 67% down at 30 mph. That’s interesting to know, next time I’ll try 66%!
Maybe levi’s, but not the fast food industry. You don’t bit the hand that feeds you. Which is meant very literal in Trumps case.
Does that even make sense? If nothing is restricted, every team needs to research which solution is best, if the rules are super tight, there is little room for improvement, so even if you throw millions at it, you only gain .1 s a lap. That leads to very close races.
I am pretty sure it would be impossible for you and me to get it empty in 12 miles. A Veyron can only do 50 miles at full speed, but hard to do on a regular road.
That’s the main reason I look forward to EVs. We can finally end all those weird grille designs.
One reason why the 5 series might be on top is, that it was replaced by a new version 2 years ago, so most of the 3 year old models got good discounts and don’t compare very favorably with slightly newer cars.
But the Mazda has a tiny engine. Add a bigger heavier one, and a bigger heavier transmission, then make the engine fit into the car, little bit bigger hood and a bit wider, for the wider transmission tunnel.
