I agree. I think that even people who are progressive, who believe in equality (racial, economic, gender ,orientation, etc.), may still carry the oppressive language they grew up with, that they were instilled with, and it comes out in times when we're desperate to verbally hurt someone we believe is hurting or

You think that is what the writers at Jez think? According to them, Solange did no wrong.

Grayghazi?

I'd also say not to tell your spouse any embarrassing secrets or give them any personal information you don't want the world to know. Information isn't hard evidence, but it can be just as harmful if they tell others.

Seems like the author is conflating two very different issues. Basically, the German court stated you can give something to someone then take it back. Revenge porn is obviously terrible, but I don't think a person being in possession of nekkid pics of an ex is terrible. What largely makes an intimate relationship an

I agree that it took too long for women to be introduced, but to me, it seems like that is just the creators/writers/producers not getting it at first then fixing the problem, or part of the problem. I can't hold that against them if they addressed it.

I disagree with the Big Bang Theory assessment. I see BBT as a breath of fresh air. Not long ago, being a male who was 'too short' or 'too skinny' or 'too smart' or nerdy or geeky meant there was no chance they were going to get a woman. And you know what, the reality of life is even those BBT type of guys can get

Truthfully though, mass producing clothing that fits most people perfectly is just an impossible endeavor. There are too many variables involved. People's bodies are so, so different. You have to consider shoulder width, arm length, bust size, torso length, etc. Even a shirt that is a size 4 will not fit all size

There are many, many people with those educational credentials as well as work history. And as great as they are, they not quite enough to be president. What's always missing from the Hillary love fest on Jezebel is actual discussion of her policy initiatives and stances on a variety of tough issues. Past the lip

Yeah, that is a healthy and productive way to view politicians. Never mind her policies or positions.

Another Hillary article with comments gushing about her. I don't see, nor do I ever see, anything related to her policy initiative or stances on specific issues. To me, Hillary is just another politician for the banks and a bit of a war Hawk. Supposedly she's liberal, I'm not sure how though.

Brilliant? Care to offer any examples of her brilliance? Like actually brilliant or Kim Kardasian media savvy brand building brilliance?

You're trying to have two discussions at once. One about objectification of stripping and another about double standards. I'm not going to debate double standards with you. This is the time or place. For that discussion to happen, we would need to agree that men stripping for women on the Bachelorette being

Ha, thanks for the info. I'll give it a little but will try not to lose myself in the discussion.

I'm not going to conflate the issues. The JayZ/Solange incident is not the same as stripping on the Bachelorette. I know you think both are examples of a double standard, but the stripping isn't an example of objectification.

The act of stripping in and of itself is not objectifying. Objectification only comes into the equation when the attitudes of the participants (the stripper and the viewer) as well as the difference in power dynamics and of course history are all considered.

Boss? Did I miss something? Why boss?

She isn't discussing, she's blaming. Hart's mentioning of cheating in the past was reflective, was about learning, growing, moving on. Torrei is still blaming Hart's wife for breaking up the marriage. Torrei is just publicly fighting. That wasn't was Hart was doing with his stand up.

I mentioned it below, but their takes on their relationship are pretty different. For one, his is comical but more than that, it's a discussion of what he did and what he learned from it and how he grew. It's from a perspective of I've moved on and this is how. Torrei is just angry and pointing fingers and blaming

But just so I'm clear, Bill Clinton also has a record of sexual harassment and at least one rape accusation. He did settle sexual harassment charges out of court. It's not just affairs with consenting women.
