No, but as someone who wears hats for a couple reasons (#1 being sun protection), you have to get used to the fact that once they're on your head for a while, they're not coming off. Hat head and sweaty bangs ensure that.
Don't bash hats! Instead, let's try to bring them back for all guys. Sun protection isn't just for us girls, and besides- weren't the styles in the early seasons of Mad Men awesome?
I spent about 5 minutes trying to word it in the least offensive way possible for that very reason!
Growing up, my family was very pro-life as well. No one ever picketed at abortion clinics (I don't think that's done as much in Canada), but once a year a lot of the churches would organize a sign-waving protest along a main street, just to show their beliefs. My teenage friends and I were always made to come, so…
A better way of putting it! Although there are enough health issues with tanning beds that lead me to believe that they should be discouraged much more than they are.
I was thinking the same of Abigail Breslin
Exactly!
I'm always happy to see when a lot of the girls have really pale skin. It gives me hope that the tanning craze may be on its way out.
In a different article I read, they didn't recognize him during the conversation. When they got home, they saw the news, and put two and two together.
There are a lot of Asian foods in myfitnesspal, or at least the sort of food that you'd order in a restaurant or get at a big Asian grocery store chain.
Ack! The edit function needs to stick around longer- I went away, came back, and realized that I'd written "it's" and it is going to be there till the end of the internet.
Just weighed myself this morning and I'm up to 32 lbs lost, thanks to myfitnesspal. Yes, there was also a lot of willpower involved, but I can't say how great this site has been in actually showing my what I was eating and how much (and how quickly) everything added up. I cook almost everything from scratch, so it's…
I did just go and saw a movie. Without thinking, I saw "Fill the Void", an amazing Israeli film about a family dealing with grief after their daughter/sister/wife dies.
Oh my word. If someone posted something like that for me to see (the gravestone picture), I don't think I could keep quiet. You're stronger than I am. I want to offer my condolences as well. They mean nothing at this time, I'm sure, but I mean them sincerely. I can't imagine going through that 3 times in such a…
I get that. Some people have written things like "looking for prayers as we go through a tough day", or longer posts about how they feel, which I totally understand. It just bothers me illogically when someone starts "Hi (deceased brother/friend)," and starts writing as if he's going to post a response.
I've been waiting for this. It's the anniversary of my brother's death. It's a hard enough day on it's own, but I'm having to avoid facebook since half of my huge family has taken the opportunity to write messages 'to' him on their walls. I know everyone grieves in their own way, but this is something that bothers me…
Ugh. I want a kitten so badly! I already have two adult cats (that I love), though, and don't really want to clean the litter boxes of three cats. Still- I can't believe I may have to wait 15 years to get another.
My cat does that! One of them always wants to sleep under my legs (bent up to form a tent under blankets). If I'm not in that position when she gets the urge to sleep that way, and if my foot is poking out, she'll bite it. Not hard, but enough that it jolts me awake. I worry that one day I'll kick her hard in my…
Here's one thing to think about. Growing up, my (very loving) mother always said "Sit like a lady." "Act like a lady." "Don't dress that way." and so on, and so on. Think about what these imply. There are ladies (aka 'nice, proper women', and there are non-ladies. Why do you want to be a lady? They get respect.…
