I've got a 2 storey (plus basement) townhouse that I'm renting out right now for less than this, and it's got 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, etc, etc. I wonder how much I could get for it in LA! Of course, I'd never have been able to buy it in the first place...

I skimmed the article and all I took from it was LG screaming "Look! I'm still edgy and relevant. LOOK AT ME!"

" "What percentage is that?"

I'll admit it. I've been curious about this.

The only way to stop upcoming trashy, stupid tv shows is to stop watching the current trashy, stupid tv shows.

The only possible good thing that can come from this is that he is the perfect rebuttal to the people who say that we don't need to specifically teach boys what rape and sexual assault is when they're young(-ish), and what actions should never be acceptable. The reason why we shouldn't that I've been given is that

Meh. If my clothing is designed to outline every curve on my body, turnabout is fair play.

Wow- DING DING DING

Why do they have to be treated like pets? Raise them humanely and eat less meat. As I explained in a different post, a single chicken can mean meat for 8-10 meals for a person if used properly. Balance each carnivorous meal with 2 vegetarian meals. Treat meat as a side dish instead of the main course.

The human land in The Little Mermaid didn't seem very tropical to me.

I get that. I've switched to making as much as I can from scratch and using as much of an animal as I can. For example, buying a whole chicken which means at least 2-3 meals with meat as a side for me and my husband, followed by making chicken stock with the entire carcass (including feet), which makes another 2

See, with that, I'd point to Little House on the Prairie books. Their cows, which were about as close to wild as you could get, always produced enough milk for the calves as well as the family.

Technically, every animal that shares an environment with another animal 'damages the evolutionary path'. After all, they're either competing for resources or eating each other, for the most part.

I do too- thankfully I live in an area surrounded by farmland with a number of ethical farmers. I probably could handle going vegetarian, but I really doubt I could give up the rest. I'm crazy about dairy enough that I've even made my own butter and cheeses.

Vegans- serious question for you. If you're getting your dairy and eggs from humanely raised animals, what's the ethical issue with eating them?

Erg. I love them, but none really match the green dress I'll be wearing. I should have bought the parasol first and then worked to find a matching dress!

I'm going to an outdoor wedding in bloody HAWAII in September, and I've been searching for weeks for a good parasol that will match my dress, since otherwise I'm going to burn to a crisp. Where do you get yours? Do they ship to Canada?

I love her a little for using the phrase "I'm very keen..."

Score! So that means 'feminine products' of all kinds (pads, tampons, birth control ('cause we know that's the ladies' responsibility, right?), make up, dresses, etc) should be tax free because otherwise it's sexist, right?

I went to a small, private Christian school where I was lucky to have a lot of teachers that were truly excellent and cared about each of us (it didn't help that the class sizes were fairly small- generally no more than 15-20 students). However, the one teacher that always stands out was my English teacher in Gr 9,
