It disturbs me to no end that some girls out there will read this and see her advice as valid. Can we go back to a time when intelligent people were fêted and discussed in the news? And, if that time never existed, can we just let civilization crash already so we can start from scratch and try to build one?

So we're choosing to believe that this was real and unplanned?

So the solution to the fact that people can't afford early childhood education is to tell them to borrow money and end up paying MORE for said education.

I'm not coming out till the world gets fixed.

:) Unless you're only conscious during the 8 hours a night that I sleep a la Fight Club, I doubt it. It is funny how the internet brings us all together!

Not everyone. I hate crowds, and avoid them whenever possible. There's been a few times at the mall around Christmas (when I absolutely couldn't help that I had to run in for something) that I heard announcements saying that the first 50 customers in such and such an area would get a free prize. I always hightailed

I really, really dislike people who scam the system like this. I can't even put it into words. Maybe it all dates back to the one time my house was broken into, or the fact that I was raised to value a work ethic above almost all else, but theft of any sort just disturbs me, especially in cases like this where there

Nah. One of the (many) reasons I don't want kids of my own is because of all the crap that happens to your body, but I don't think less of anyone who does want to go through all that. I recognize that for most people there is the biological urge to have children, so you might as well hate on someone for wanting to

I kind of feel like the 'friend' in the second letter. I'm not that rude about it (I hope!), but I really dislike babies to the point that I don't want to hang around with people that have them. Older toddlers and kids are fine, but I just don't want to be around babies ever. Their cries are like kryptonite- I just

How much of this is cultural?

I think it's a universal feeling, to be honest. It's always been a pet peeve of mine, along with parents talking about their kids while the kids are right there. Your child isn't deaf, and knows enough to be embarrassed about that even when they're as young as 2-3!

I agree. What else are you able to do to your children just because they're too young to understand the long-term implications?

Babies are one thing, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere as the kids grow up. My sisters have posted pictures of their pre-teen and young teen girls with captions like "XXX being grumpy lol!!", which I think is just mean, plain and simple. Your children are not your property to humiliate at will!

I don't need this many, but literally ever sick day I've taken in the last two years (5 in total) has been period related.

They were really just crunchy and garlic-y. I cut them up into smaller pieces and ate one with each bite of salad, and it wasn't bad. Like pieces of soft-shell crab, but pointier.

A couple months ago I had the opportunity to try roasted locusts and crickets on a salad. Ever since then, whenever my immediate gut instinct tells me that a random food is gross, I've been able to tell my stomach: "Come on, you handled bugs, you can handle this."

Yes, but will it promise to never reset the sharing controls back to public every time there's an update? I always try to keep my profile as locked down as possible, but when I'm not told that my privacy settings have been reset, it's very hard. I posted my wedding pictures a few months ago, and didn't realize that

I work for a mattress company, and because of that I hear way too many stories about bedbugs (not because they're in our products, but just because it's considered 'industry news'. Nothing grosses me out more. Any time I travel, the first thing I do is look in the seams of the hotel mattress, chairs, and all

That's something completely different. I just needed to rage a little at the people who buy cases of water bottles every week for no reason. I live in a city with perfectly good water, and yet people still insist on carrying around plastic water bottles and throwing them out afterwards.

Drinking from water bottles is ridiculously expensive (compared to tap or ground water) and a HUGE waste of plastic. Just stop it!
