As someone who's always been poor, keeping up appearances is practically a necessity. No one wants to look like they're destitute, because that garners just as much judgement and embarrassment to boot. So you make sure you can pass as "wealthy" by having nice clothes and things, like a nice car that's been paid off

So what look, then, should poor people have? Dirty face, handkerchief tied to a stick, maybe shoes with no soles? :/

Not to mention that so many villain deaths were by fire and/or falling from high objects. Scar, The Evil Queen/Hag, Frollo, Gaston, Maleficent (sort of), Ratigan, Ursula, McLeach, Jafar, Shan Yu, Helga Sinclair, Charles Muntz...

The 60s vibe here is amazing. I have the little beehive she's rocking. Gorgeous.

...have you actually listened to anything she's put out in the last year? Or seen her? The wig stuff is old/over.

The I Love The... shows are my shit. I Love the 70s, the many iterations of I Love the 80s, I Love the 90s, and not one, but TWO, runs of the 2000s/New Millennium. Plus the 100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders, 80s songs, kids toys...

There's nothing revolutionary about Frozen. Lilo & Stitch had a way more real, complex sister dynamic, and it was set in Hawaii instead of a frozen wasteland.

I'm super obsessed with this ad; it's so great. Anna Kendrick seems like someone you'd want to be friends with.

I posted a negative review of Twilight on Goodreads way back when; I'm thankful Stephanie Meyer didn't come after me. Seriously, what type of fascist nonsense world does Hale live in? People are going to not like your book; you can't terrorize them for that.

It feels like every semester we've had some sort of threat posed against the student body. It's extremely disconcerting. :(

My required listening of the Boswell Sisters for class started playing while I watched the video. It was surprisingly fitting.

And by many you mean no one, right?

The best way I've seen it described is that the first two books are essentially war propaganda. They are lighter, optimistic in that you think change can occur, and like the districts you buy into the whole Mockingjay rebellion. The third book, however, is war. It's gritty, people die senselessly, characters you've

I clicked thinking he would have one some god-awful print or color...I'm confused. I don't see what's wrong with what he's wearing??
