Anything that’s planned to be played on a TV (console) should have at least one text size option. I don’t see how games consistently forget this. “Oh, well I know it was a problem on the LAST game, but surely THIS time, your eyes will just be able to read the size 12 font from 15 feet away! :D”

We’ll just start calling them “Rogue-lite-likes.” :D

While it does make sense in a way, the whole idea behind difficulty options is that you’re setting the difficulty to whatever the named thing is. Thus, if you’re a Padawan, then the game difficulty is adjusting itself to what a Padawan could handle. Jedi Master is adjusting up to what a Padawan can’t handle.

Isn’t that a weirdly narrow list for Game Of The Year?

I’m pretty sure it’s less satire (like... mostly none?) and more just silliness of “what if a sports reporter were sent to Esports instead?”. :P

THIS IS GOLD! Hahaha...

I don’t think it’s up to this lady to define what is considered sexual and what is not (me neither but I go by simple logic here).”

Yeah, Black is like “murder creature damaged by this card, AND bring it back from the dead whenever you want, AND gain life equal to its damage, AND it has flying!”. White’s like “... I heals.”

I do think draft is one of the best ways to go. At my local shop, you can go home with 3 booster packs of cards (which is like... $11ish?), AND have a fun night of “no one got to show up with their premade deck” for like $15. And you might even win more packs if you do well. And if you don’t, no biggie. It’s low-key,

Ugh! I still say milling is the lamest thing you can possibly do in MTG. I just recently got into Keyforge, and in that, when your “library” runs out, you just shuffle all your discards back into your library. There are still ways in which to pull cards out of someone’s deck (essentially exiling them, or just

“Lasers could even be used by satellites in space, against other satellites or ballistic missiles.”

This is because the “which is the best option?” of any given situation in Starcraft isn’t that difficult. It’s micromanaging everything constantly to outrange/out-efficient your opponent that’s hard. The AI has the means to process those logistics with ease.

Well said! I just hate when your choice to put more points into Skill Y is directly a choice to succeed at opening/hacking more things. It would be a bit like having a Combat skill that just determined the outcome of all your battles for you. “Combat 5? You can’t fight these enemies... Combat 6? You defeat the enemies

I get that people hate them sometimes, and there have definitely been some terrible ones, but... well, look at the hacking puzzle minigame in Bioshock, or Deus Ex: Human Revolution. You’re actually doing dynamically different things each time, and your increased hacking (character) skills give you more tools to tackle

The Darq dev makes a good point about an apparent double standard about exclusive games versus games appearing in multiple storefronts at once. If Epic is helping to fund the game, that’s one thing. If they’re not, I’d hope they’d still let a game be on their store.”

Microsoft controls the operating system. Microsoft could literally prevent anything from ever running on your machine, even if you did purchase it from elsewhere, legitimately. Epic is being pretty transparent about their plans being what they are in order to get off the ground, as no one’s going to leave years of

This. People keep talking about how bad their exclusivity deals are, but they’re essentially guaranteeing that these little indie devs, especially, don’t crash and burn despite having a really cool game. People would rather they just get drowned out on Steam and have to pay two storefronts for publishing just for the

They don’t pay them up-front. They simply guarantee that they’ll pay them out of pocket if their game doesn’t sell well enough to meet the minimum they would need to not shut down afterward.

He doesn’t tear Bioware down.

You should have set your oven settings to “allow cookies.” That’s probably why they burned, u_u... :D
