Always shocked at how few comments there are under these recaps. Is no one watching this insanely original show?

I agree, it’s a fun and silly and pervy movie. The movie finds a way to remind us that shock value still has value, and can be done in a way that entertains us. The criticisms feel shallow since the movie isn’t trying to go deep.

I actually liked Saltburn. It is wildly uneven but I don’t mind that it’s derivative (it’s to The Talented Mr. Ripley what Cruel Intentions is to Dangerous Liaisons) and I really enjoyed the wild swings into satire.

If they’d never made The Talented Mr. Ripley, it would have been more shocking.

I don't like either comment. And yet here I am commenting.

he’s not creepy in Banshees of Inisherin, his character is actually rather sweet. he is an oddball doofus in it though lol

Such a weird movie. It’s actually super straightforward (like a middle school production of The Talented Mr. Ripley). I saw every “twist” coming a mile away. But then, they throw in three or four bonkers scenes to try to convince you you’re watching something transgressive. Watch Titane and tell me again how bonkers

All I gotta say is that Sophie seems way too nice to burn this goddamn house right down.

It sounds like you didn’t like my comment. And yet you still commented.

He has a supporting role in Dunkirk as a mate on Mark Rylance’s boat (my intro to him) where he comes off just as awkward, not fully creepy.  So...one?

These recaps are published at like minute after midnight. I wonder if he has already seen every episode and written the recaps in advance, so he has no incentive to read our comments.

In Chernobyl he’s a naive young kid forced into euthanizing the irradiated pets.

LOL I watched is Christmas weekend, it certainly is something, and not what I was expecting. And man that grave scene, when it first started I was thinking, is he gonna do what I think he is, then holy shit he did it I howled with laughter. That said I did actually like the movie, also side note does Barry Keoghan

we finally get a clearer vision both of what Flipanthropy is looking like right now...

Sounds good...as long as no one repeats anything in the movie having to do with bathtubs, newly buried graves, or mostly anything in the movie, really.

There isn’t a single negative statement (even mild) in the review, but words like “masterful, “thrilling,” and “transfixing” are used.  Yet, B+.  What the fuck earns an A?

I know you’ve been consistently giving this show grades in the B range, but if this wasn’t an A episode, I don’t know what is.

“The water's not fine" makes this sound like a negative review...

That got intense. Good thing Dougie’s there to cut the tension.
