This. Gator seemed to know more about what happened to Linda than Dot did. I don’t get my jollies from seeing people tortured, but if Gator backs Roy to some kind of end and then Roy turns on him because that’s what Roy always was, and Gator knew it...that’s just storytelling.

You knew he was a snake all along, Gator.

I honestly feel like I want Gator to have a moment where he stands up to Roy, and dear old dad just kills him. Have Gator’s last moments on earth be the full realisation of how little his father thinks of him. I can’t imagine how he’d survive the Wrath of Much long enough for that to happen, but it’d be great to see.

Oh, I think Gator might actually survive his encounter with Fargo’s own Grendel. Otherwise why let Dot tell him what Roy really thought of him? If it’s just something Dot made up, it doesn’t matter; that particular Chekhov’s gun is now loaded and cocked.

Usually I instantly roll my eyes at slow, dramatic versions of pop songs, but the Toxic scene is absolutely how to do it right. Everything we now know about Britney Spears is clearly a deliberate part of the effect, and one that’s all the more fulfilling for having to work a bit to realize it.

Incredible year for the console. Super Mario Wonder, Metroid Prime Remastered and the bunch of great hits I caught up on thanks to sales such as FFVIII, Hades, Persona 5 and Resident Evil 0 and 5.
