Hm, well, title sequences is a thing I tend to skip for EVERY Bond, for the most part. :P

Yup, you nailed it. Guy’s a lying liar, and it’s not even the first time he’s lied about covid disease either. That makes him a particularly dangerous motherfucker.
Apparently, being a motocross racing champ pays extremely well? That’s one hell of a domicile, with one hell of a view. Holy crab. Would Not Mind! Seriously. lol
Reading that link now, but kind of dreading to because Falwell is such an awful piece of fucking shit, the less I know about him the better really. I genuinely believe he is one of those people who aren’t human beings at all, but rather a demon wearing a flesh suit. I can’t explain the explicit outright evil any other…
Biggest laugh for me - if not ever so certainly close to - in a Bond movie was the terse back and forth between Bond and M in the Aston Martin, when she complains about being uncomfortable and he flips the top of the gearshifter open and hovers his thumb over the button. “Go on, eject me. See how much I care”, she…
The christmas joke was so corny though. lol Biggest facepalm in the history of the Bond franchise, including Connery’s “I musht be dreaming” comment at being introduced to Pussy Galore.
QoS’ action sequences are completely unwatchable for me due to the movie’s simply ludicrously rapid cutting. I can’t even tell what the fuck is going on on-screen. It’s the most annoying action movie I’ve ever watched, bar none. And the ending was ridiculous, with a hotel constructed entirely out of explosive natural…
Hm, I must confess I myself have somewhat of a soft spot for For Your Eyes Only. And, being a kid of the ‘80s, also Duran Duran’s A View to a Kill and A-Ha’s The Living Daylights, naturally. :)
Maybe a portmanteau of all three labels, turducken-style sort of maybe...? lol
Why do you want to chain yourself to gas stations and Big Oil for the rest of eternity? Where is the value proposition in doing that? I know it’s what you’ve been doing for all your adult life, and your dad’s life and so on, but why should that be a reason to continue to feed an industry that is literally trying to…
There are indeed small and compact EVs that make sense - they just don’t get sold in Merica because there bigger is better. In Europe we have the Renault Zoe for example which is a mighty fine compact EV, and the VW ID.3 is launching this summer - or would have before teh corona blindsided us. Anyway, it’s coming,…
I’m suggesting that noisy gasser engines aren’t the solution to our predicaments.
It may be carbon neutral, but carbon emissions isn’t the only problem with combustion engines, as I mentioned in my post. :) They kill people even if you run ‘em on biofuel, they’re heavy, bulky, costly to maintain, perform worse than electric motors and so on.
Typically, when you look at an issue where someone says, “I NEED, therefore I can’t BEV”, what it boils down to is it’s not actually they need, as much as it is “I WANT”. IE, I want to refuel in 5 minutes and then be on my way again - and damn the consequences.
Engines would still pollute and spread noise even if you did all that. Plus, they are much bulkier, heavier, costlier, maintenance intensive and perform much worse than an electric motor anyhow. Engines are shit. Just get over them already.
Any argument you make for how complicated it is to charge EVs with solar falls flat on its face when looking at reality, which is that A: making synthetic fuel with solar power would be very energy costly (seriously, the energy literally has to come from the sun because nothing is free) and combustion engines are so…
What about chibi cute-looking jumping spiders with short legs and huge eyes, who may or may not also play some mean bongos?
Shots fired! Shots fired!
This is stupid. Well actually, this is more than stupid, it’s utterly moronic, backwards and counter productive. Why use solar power to make fuel (likely to be an inefficient process), transport it (also inefficient) to then burn it in a piston engine (which all are extremely inefficient), when you can just use the…
Thanks! ...But why? :)
