I have to believe this because otherwise Jon never gets warned about, well, *ahem*.

I was never truly bitter about the show, but I was starting to have my doubts last season. But this season has restored my faith, especially because of this episode. Changing Dany's marriage and making it her idea and her choice? It's a major improvement on her character!
Structure should include important themes, and both Grey Worm and Missandei are incredibly important thematically. One of the major themes of the books—especially in A Dance With Dragons—is how powerful people, how the game of thrones, disproportionately negatively affects commoners and slaves.
I can't remember if it's in the books but it's definitely established in the show that it's only gilded—when Jaime and Tyrion are having a meal together (shortly before the Purple Wedding).
Yeah, his vengeance is definitely bittersweet.
I just gasped with horror. Please be wrong.
Agreed. One of the things I like about this tightrope walk they're doing between reality/perception is that by making their superstitions and beliefs look real, they don't fall into the trap of appearing as though they are mocking the Vikings' religion. Viewers don't watch Siggy's drowning scene and think "LOL stupid…
I choked at that line. That was the precise moment I fell in love with this show.
I was SHOCKED that Jasmine would even say that. Homegirl is actively pursuing forced retirement, huh?
I agree. I feel like I'm going to have to really work at loving this. Seems like an awful lot of work on my part, when all I really want to do is enjoy an album.
I am extremely disappointed by how his arc ended this season, and not just for emotional reasons. It really played way too much into the whole Frank-The-All-Powerful dynamic that I've been hoping to see crack.
It's so strange—we have TWO fairly important "enemy" characters that disappear this season with almost no fanfare—Mendoza and Ayla.
Agreed. I assumed that Ayla would return to the story in some other way but NOPE. Just…gone. So friggin weird.
What? Serbia is *totally* Eastern Europe.
Agreed! I ended up researching every amendment on the ballot in my state the night before and made a cheat sheet on a piece of scrap paper for how I wanted to vote. Some of the amendments were quite difficult to parse and one of them (Amendment 4 in Tennessee) had no language whatsoever to reflect who this amendment…
I thought that the Grace/prayer group scene was so interesting and important. I'm frankly a little confused by the people that are disinterested in the Alicia-and-Grace story arc.
Well…that was probably more of her label's choice than hers.
What is "girly pop"? Is there a "boy-y pop"?
hahahaaaa that is literally exactly my response as soon as I hear that damn music.
I have to agree with you. I (shamefully) went back and looked up images of Margulies from each season when I saw her weight mentioned last week and honestly? Her body looks pretty much exactly the same. Her face just thinned out and I know I have seen that before as a product of aging. Maybe we're not used to seeing…
